Thanks Attivo. We need it. I can't imagine what it will be like if we win. It was euphoria when we won the second leg of the play-offs to reach Wembley. The stewards opened the gates to let us all on the pitch to celebrate. Then there was an announcement that Gareth Ainsworth will lead his team round the ground to salute the fans as soon as they were all off the pitch. I have never seen such an orderly pitch clearance <laugh>.

Triumph Davis in the first at Doncaster looks a fair price 5s best generally 9/2. Sam gets the nod on what looks to be a nicely weighted Davis that could well be triumphant

Dundalk 9.00-Milford Lass 20s Ew.Decent place claims at a nice price

3.30 Doncaster Man From Seville 10/1

Division 2 of the maiden hurdle looks pretty open and my eye is drawn to Fergal O'Brien's runner Man From Seville. This son of Duke Of Marmalde was last seen 832 days ago when hosing up in a 2 mile flat handicap for Sir Mark Prescott at Wolves. Obviously has his issues since but he must be showing something at home which has made them persist.

Sir Barney- I wonder if Micky 'Magic Hands' Hammond can today unlock the potential in TAYLOR that the forums favourite trainer could not unlock?

<laugh>

Smashing animal making his British debut up at Doncaster today. LEGAL EXIT, formerly with Jim Culloty, has joined Tom Lacey having spent a lot of time off injured. A good novice hurdler in Ireland, including a win over the smart enough URANO, his future always looked to be over fences. He didn't quite do what I hoped in his very few novice chase runs before injury but he is one to keep an eye on popping up in a handicap at some point. For a shrewd yard.

However, at 12/1 today he won't go unbacked by me at that price so I had a little flutter. Interesting he is back up at 2m 3f today (his best runs have been when he has gone up to these sort of distances -he won over 3m in a point-and looked just short of a bit of speed over the minimum) and I suspect he might make up into a 3m Competitive handicap chaser at some point.

1.35 Lingfield
The current favourite is more at home over 5/6f, the others don't inspire confidence, so my attention is drawn to Cyflymder, a C&D winner who performed very well during the summer and may now be on a mark to go in again. Currently 10/1, Bet365, I'm on.

Taylor, what a lovely name for a mare by the way, is one that I could go on about for hours. She was bought by Simon Munir, for a reported 6 figure sum, after finishing, a highly promising, 4th first time out in a Listed Bumper in Ireland. In her sole run, in this sphere, for Mr Henderson she then ran another race full of promise to be placed at Cheltenham. However, over hurdles it just never worked out for the old girl. She was a dual winner (albeit of 2 very weak novice heats) but she was let go in November for £5,000 – a whopping loss for connections. Personally, I can’t understand this as being by Presenting and a dual winner over hurdles you would have thought that instead they’d have shipped Taylor off to the breeding sheds. However, current connections picked her up, for a bargain price, and she’s now on the lowly perch of 112. Will Taylor be too swift for them today??? Will she shake, shake, shake, shake, shake off the opposition??? I’ve not backed her but it wouldn’t be beyond the realms of possibility, methinks. Taylor will probably be one of those animals who pops up one day at 50/1. And will the forum faithful all be on her that day?!? I think we all know the answer to that one, don’t we, pilgrims...

Caught my eye last night too Oddy. Could be an interesting recruit to the scene if he hurdles well. Best of luck if your on <ok>

Where’s Stick?!? I see that his old fave Le Reve runs tomorrow (3.10 Kempers Park). It will be his first outing following the old boys wind operation. Will he be a rejuvinated animal, me ponders?!?
