Well this cold is hanging around so another day at home ................. how sad.

Been perusing Fontwell and here my thoughts:

2.10 The market seems to have it between Risk and Roll and Cozier but I think Gary Moore's Sussex Ranger offers a bit of value and looks a nice e/w bet to nothing. Won on the flat over 1m 6f at Lingfield on soft and was rated 76 in that sphere and the yard certainly know how to get one ready on debut.

2.45 No reason to oppose Adrien Du Pont but chuck in Fortunate George for the forecast.

3.20 A sporting e/w selection in Gannicus who is a bit in and out but today's track and trip should suit.

3.55 Go Conquer for a yard in superb form. Dropped in grade here after some great efforts last season and will take all the beating if ready today.

4.30 Purely based on trainer and jockey, Strumble Head can take this.

5.05 I just can't side with Dickie Johnson at the moment so the favourite is overlooked in favour of Doing Fine who will be staying on when the others have cried enough.

Best of luck everyone <ok>

OddDog mate, get yourself a bottle of irish whiskey (none of that Scottish stuff, as its pish), slice a bit of lemon and stud it with a few cloves, in a glass stick a double measure of the whiskey, the studded lemon with cloves, spoon full of sugar then some boiling water, leave for a minute of two then enjoy.

Repeat where necessary, if your cold isn't cured by 3 of those, you'll be well pished and won't even worry about it!

There has to be a better way to spend a Friday morning than discussing security requirements with a cast of thousands from Bangalore ... !! Conf Call hell !
Oh yes, Ascot and Fontwell - there, that's better already :emoticon-0100-smile

One for me today is the excellent Ekhtiyaar at Ascot, 3.10, looking forward to seeing that one and hopefully cheering for a nice win <ok>
There might be a bit of value in the 5 place market of the Ascot opener, so I've had a go with Crafty Madam in that one.

At Fontwell, race goers get to see Rachael Blackmore, so a few pennies on a live chance on Mr Hanlon's Summer Storm in the 3.20 for me I think, as the horses at the top of the market don't really inspire confidence.

Not too excited by the Hexham card, though Beyondtemptation in the 4.10 might just make it a tough test for all the others and cause a surprise <applause> ( or not )

Good Luck all, enjoy your Friday, mine is a thrill a fortnight at the moment.

Sounds fantastic, if only I didn't have to go to physio this afternoon

There isn't an ailment on this planet that can't be cured by a hot whiskey.

Too right Doalittle, though think Odddog must be bit of a wolly wuffter, like who gets a heavy cold in early October! LOL

Glad I got my flu jab in work the other day!!!!!! Jameson is too expensive in England.

I fancy Colin Keane to have a decent evening at Dundalk and backed the below in single & dbl
6.00 Sally Gap 5/1
9.00 Thunder Crash 5/1

I like the chances of Dominating in the last at Ascot 7/2. Ran a cracker against Tors at Musselburgh two starts ago.

Yeh a dundalk winner, been a while!nice one OFAH seen you were on too
You had him up first Ste so fair play, something must have been amiss with Call Sally with the big drift before the off... good battle between Keane and Smullen but you always fancy Pat to use his experience over the final few weeks.
