Yesterday’s ‘Weekender’ continued to paint this Jadaayil as being the latest ‘reincarnation of Pegasus’ and she makes her second racecourse appearance at Haydock Park tomorrow (2.30). I would imagine that if she isn’t successful ‘ooooooooooooop’ there then several correspondents, from that publication, will be throwing themselves off the old grandstand!

Jadaayil made a highly satisfactory bow, at Newbury last month, when just being run down in the closing stages. With that experience behind her though you would imagine she will take some beating tomorrow if those lofty predictions are ever going to come true.

I guess the Hills barn will be looking for a win tomorrow prior to stepping Jadaayil up into Group company. She needs to start fulfilling that promise though, and this intended career path, with a win at Haydock.

Jadaayil 2.30 - my main bet tomorrow. Hoping she can build on promising run at Newbury the other day.

Swashbuckling is down to run at Ascot in the 3.10 too lads. No 16/1 this time though, 4/1 best price I see at the moment. Be interesting to see if the money starts to come again...

Could be ominous, felt Swashbuckling ran a decent race last week, certainly wouldn't be afraid to take the Varian horse on, he did go well on debut in similar conditions to tomorrow though. Indian Monsoon being trained by Stoute will no doubt come on a heap too.

I might hold fire until tomorrow then and see if anything starts to develop first <ok>
 
Glee should get an early treble at Newcastle, will back them 3 with jadaayil for a small accumulator

Will also be backing swashbuckling ew, hopefully will be closer to the pace this time and come out on top
 
Morning, all. La Rioja did it very well yesterday and next up, it would appear, will be either a Group 3 at Ayr or the Group 1 Cheveley Park at HQ. That Qatari chap will decide. Don’t get taking quotes as low as 16’s though re her and next term’s 1,000 Guineas as Mr Candy says, ‘she won’t stay a yard over 6 furlongs and is all about speed’. La Rioja is 14/1 for next seasons ‘Commonwealth Cup’ which seems fair.

I say that Swashbuckling is fast becoming a forum favourite and will certainly be looking out to see how he fares later on. The very best to all his backers. Most Bonkers, with a very big capital B, entry today though must be Mr Ponsonby’s Admiral Miller in the same heat (3.10 Ascot). He makes his debut on the Flat, at the backend of his 5YO season, after having had 4 outings in bumper/hurdle heats for Mr Henderson, the forum’s favourite trainer. And he was hopeless in them beaten respectively 29, 151, 70 and 56 lengths! Now with Eve Johnson Houghton, who has a lovely name but is no Mr Henderson, I really can’t understand why they are debuting Admiral Miller in a well above average maiden at a Group 1 track! Currently 50/1 but I would have expected another 0, at the very least, on that quote. Anyone any ideas what Mr Ponsonby is up to here?!?

Good choice yesterday. Always been a Candy fan SBC and seem to think you are too. It's always good to see them having a couple of likely sorts every year given the size of his string (actually a whopping 67 this year). The smashing racehorses that have gone through his hands (and those of his Dad, Derrick) are too many to mention here. Wasn't Derrick once the owner of Mr Henderson's current abode?

The name Ponsonby causes a severe reaction with me, but as I have no wish to end up in court opposite Mr P I'll leave it at that. I should think the admirable Eve is warming him up for a point to point somewhere.

Can't see Swashbuckling having it all his own way.
 
Jadaayil hammered then. I doubt if 'The Weekender' will be bragging about that one on its front page next week! Haven’t seen the heat but I’m guessing the winner could live up to her name. Sporting Life are reporting that she won impressively by 7, I say 7 lengths.

Mr Ponsonby’s charge wasn’t disgraced at all on his Flat bow. Beaten just 9 lengths in the end. Top marks to Ms Johnson Houghton who most deffo got him closer to the old boy judge than Mr Henderson ever managed.
 
Movie Set looks like a very nice animal. Did that on debut from up with the pace and was only hands and heels. Proper stamp of a horse- a lovely middle distance prospect.
