12.20 St Cloud - Worth watching, Christophe Soumillon should be given a long holiday (on and off the course) for what he did. So so dangerous..

He just on ATR now, remorseful reply but yet in the race, he did not look back to see if Ryan was ok..

"Naughty"? Much worse than that. What Soumillon did was a disgrace; with no regard for the safety of a fellow jockey.

I don’t mean to be undermining this, it was clearly moronic and he obviously lost the plot. However the furore over this compared to incidents that have equal or greater potential of danger is bemusing.

In the UK we see people taking their mounts across others and forcing them to snatch up their runners and on occasions we’ve seen fallers in that manner.

I would suggest that everyone watches the full race and how Rossa takes his ground and continues to let his horse drift across. Now this isn’t a reason to react, but I think you might understand why he did react.

Is anyone having trouble with the ATR site? For me, all sorts of problems. Been using it for many years, never had serious problems like this.

It's been happening to me too for a few days now, the pages take a long time to load or don't load at all. I thought it was the antivirus, some add-on or my internet connection that since I have raised it to 1Giga I think it goes worse than before with 600 megabytes, but I see I'm not the only one.

I've just seen that Soumillon incident, absolutely disgusting. I don't understand why his ban isn't immediate but I do hope he wins **** all at Longchamp this weekend.

Same here Pilgrim. Have switched to Racing post website for studying the races.

Today, much to my surprise, the ATR website returned to normal service, after being for quite a while in complete disarray. Login worked perfectly, annd was able to get video replays, etc., with no problems. ATR must have had a pretty serious problem? Very happy it's back in working order! <ok>

It's working fine for me today too. It appears that they have already resolved their issues.

Rather embarrassing for France Galop but their rules do not allow for bans to be immediate. It will be doubly embarrassing for them if he rides the winner in the Arc.
The Aga Khan has always appeared to be a very principled person in the racing world. It’s quite possible that Soumillon’s punishment may become even more severe.

The daily mail on saturday has printed some horific pictures regarding Soumillons elbow . On the images alone the 60 day ban looks very leniant
