If I were to take a horse from today for the Arc it would be Savethelastdance. She ran a fine race on unsuitable ground to be 2nd and surely the Arc will be run on more testing going. 16/1 available and you’d have to think connections will aim her at the race.

But today Emily Upjohn would have to give her 11- 12lb and it's todays performances and weights you have to consider. 3yos under the wfa adjustments are expected to improve more than a 4yo during a season. So there's only 4-5lb between them. Still a lot, but who will improve more?.
<laugh> that occurred to me whilst I was out doing my horses. Just about to look up WFA in June but you saved me the bother <cheers>

Agree with that Oddy, in terms of the Oaks; not so sure about the day though. The ground could be significant

EMILY UPJOHN has improved considerably from 3 to 4. The front two pulled some way clear of some pretty decent yardsticks.

Good luck Florida, I really hope he does the business. He has a formline with Kaproyale that would give that one an amazing chance in the opener.

Kaproyale
Shantou Flyer
Sine Nominee
Vaucelet (Fr.Humphrey 5 places)
Zamparelli
Raleigh Flora (saver Fortunes Hill 16/1)
Fountainspinklady 12/1

Good start to the evening.
Things could get very interesting.

Hunter's Chase Day at Strafford.

My beloved Caryto Des Brosses runs but his odds are too low. It is true that he up in trip to 2.5m but he is still a bit short. It was amazing the run he made at Cheltenham over 2m so if he keeps his form he should win.

Double
19,05 Law Of Gold 13/8
19,35Caryto Des Brosses 6/4

18,05 Normofthenorth 11//1 e/w bet365 three places, 10/1 others

Caryto Des Brosses NR

Normofthenorth 2nd.

She did that very well. Like to see her take on the colts in the King George - that will tell us if she is an Arc horse.

I would not rule out her running in the King George. Gosden sent Oaks winner Taghrooda to take on – and beat – the boys at Ascot. Of course, Taghrooda then got beaten in the Yorkshire Oaks and was third in the Arc behind Treve.

As the shrewdies amongst If you could find it online check out Rockys demolition of a good restricted field at Godstone. Our trainers been in this game a long time and told me after the race that I wouldn’t see a more comprehensive victory on a point in field in this country. I’d give penniless another go in the bumper. The previous race at Aintree was messy and the horse clipped heels and the jockey nursed it home.
Cheers.
Thanks mate, I got 20's for that :1980_boogie_down:

I thought you were very unlucky with RF. Stewards should have looked at that...

Someone in front off me thought there was interference. I’m not complaining, we competed. Nobody wants to talk to second.

Surely the Eclipse is the race for Soul Sister or perhaps the Nassau.

You might be right. Gosden has a problem that surely most trainers would love to have keeping them awake at night: two top class middle distance fillies for whom the same races would be the targets. One of them could go pot-hunting in France.

They could leave Soul Sister in the Eclipse and see how strong a field it looked like being. We will have some idea of how strong the three year old colts are after the Derby and we already know some of the older horses that are bound to be at Sandown.

It would certainly make sense to run Soul Sister in the Nassau and send Emily Upjohn to the Yorkshire Oaks. That would avoid the awkward situation for that old age pensioner Dettori of having to choose between them. I am guessing he would pick the three year old and leave Rab Havlin to win on the other one. <laugh>
