Bit harsh there Oddy. Horses is one of the worst jumpers you'll find. He'd be useful though if he can get it together.
I've long since held the view that he gets it wrong too often. Seen him ask for a long one at the last when 5 lengths clear in a novice hurdle - others would have just popped it and won, he ends up on the ground. I honestly don't think he can "feel" a horse like Ruby or Geraghty can and he transmits that uncertainty to the horse. Just my armchair view, having never sat on a horse
He's not the best jockey riding at the moment but I wouldn't knock him for that fall. That horse gave an exhibition in clattering fences at the festival in March.
Thanks people I'm not sure I'll be able to repeat that tomorrow but outside the festival Cheltenham has always been kind to me and tend to have a bit of luck in the cond/handicaps but the local trainers tend to target these races and I have a lot of contacts locally what with family in town Cheers
