One for Ron tomorrow, take a look at the 12:25 tomorrow and tell me why the Nicholls horse is shorter than the other Exeter winner. They won the two heats of the same race and look at the times!

Newbury 12.45 Scardura

2 of last 3 non-completions happened on good to soft ground. Record over fences when completed reads 21. Neil Mullholland said in his stable tour last season that Scardura is a better horse on better ground. Both career wins (1 over hurdles) came on good going. So if the ground at Newbury today is good as it stands on the racingpost website at the moment it could be worth siding with the horse for each way purposes at 12/1 on offer.

as a big Sprinter Sacre fan 2 horses jump out at me today.

FLINTEUR SACRE in the first and DEFI SACRE in the 2.25.

one of my favourite horses from last season might take a major step forward today as well in the 1.50 - FIDDLERONTHEROOF

The stayers division I find a bit muddled at present - today might make things a bit clearer in the 3.00.
I don't understand though why McFabulous is a short priced favourite for this race.

Sorry Nass, just seen this. Very strange. Level weights at Exeter and level weights today. BOBHOPEORNOHOPE was 6 secs faster than FLASH COLLONGES. However, looking at the result, the former ended up fav, and won

The Long Distance Hurdle boasts a fine roll of honour right the way back to the early 90s with Trapper John and Cab On Target before a whole host of popular, multiple winners took over - Deano's Beano, Barracouda, Inglis Drever, the legendary Big Buck's and Unowhatimeanharry. Paisley Park aims to join that glittering list of multiple winners today but this is a deep, deep contest and he will need to be at his very best to prevail. Stayers Hurdle winner Lisnagar Oscar was chanceless behind Roksana at Wetherby and needs to step up massively on that effort; Summerville Boy finished behind Paisley Park in the Cleeve Hurdle but in front of him in the Stayers Hurdle and rates a big danger; The up-and-coming Mcfabulous and Thyme Hill face the stiffest test of their respective careers but have bags of potential and both Sam Spinner and Vision Des Flos return to the smaller obstacles after disappointing over fences.

A cracking renewal and I will take Thyme Hill to continue his progression and score for the first time in open company.

There's the Stayer's Hurdle winner - he can only improve from that and he has done it really nicely.

Probably the best race of the season so far and none of them wanted to race at the off.
I backed Thyme Hill at Chelters, should of won, but as always I manage to find them.
Today I was torn between him and PP, of coarse I backed PP, typical.
Great race once they decided to.

Looks like we have a race and division worth watching then after that performance where most of them can take something out of the race. So pleased for Paisley Park, great run after his issues at Cheltenham, can come on for that i think. But hats off to Thyme Hill, showed a lot of speed at the end, even with a slowly run first 1mile or so, put his name right in amongst the leading candidates now...

And if the other runners can improve for this run looking forward, we could have some right ole ding dong battles soon... Sets it up nicely...<ok>

Chelmsford 5.45 London

Has run well at this track in the past and is turned out quickly after finishing well behind Gumra. Shrewed stable had a winner on the AW this week and does well in these kind of races at Chelmsford. Could pop up soon at a price.
