Small bet
13,20 Crest of Fortune 20/1 e/w bet365, WH, Lads and Coral two places

Easy to get lulled into some of the Mullins shorties... a really interesting one for me is at Leopardstwon in 1:10... PUPPET MASTER .. bought out of A'OB yard having won the Lingfield Derby trial (different ground) but before was beaten only 4 and a bit by Delacroix and lanbourrn on ground identical to Fridays forecast... last two runs 9th in Irish Derby and was then favourite for the Irish St Leger, but jockey all but pulled it up after looking down to see if something was amiss... maybe AOB thinks there ws something wrong... at 16/1 I'll be having my Boxing Day money on it e/way...

In the King George Joseph O’Brien has booked Sean Bowen for the ride on Bambridge. Banbridge won the race last year and trainer has said he will like the better ground . He is my choice to go close again @16s ew with paddy power

Leopardstown
14,55 An Peann Dearg 16/1 e/w PP and sky six places, five others, 14/1 bet365 six places

Evening, I hope everyone is enjoying the Xmas break. I do like the next couple of days racing with The King George, Welsh GN as well as the quality Leopardstown action. In the King George I can’t see why last year’s winner is a double figure price. Banbridge 16/1 has his ground and is unbeaten at the track. Although Townend has to ride for his boss the booking of Sean Bowen is hardly a negative. Can’t see him out of the first 3 so ew. Good luck all.

I'm on Fact To File in the King George. 3/1 is just about right I feel. I think he will reverse form with Gaelic Warrior comfortably enough here today. I have not been a fan of Jango Baie probably due to who rides him most of the time but I will admit he is a resolute looking animal and maybe I'm being blindsided by my dislike of DeBoinville in the saddle. The Jukebox Man is very interesting, being able to see where he stands amomg this current crop. I think he will run an admirable race but maybe fade to 3rd or 4th. Don't think Banbridge has the class those to the fore of this race have but it does seem to suit him here and he will be running on late I'd suspect.

I just think everything sets up well for FTF. A good strong pace, he'll be waited with and once he is there 3 out I think he won't make no mistake today.

Plenty of nice racing to watch over the coming days. All the best to those having a go.

Took GW 6/1 win only just over three months ago. Interesting race. Good luck.

Two of my favourite horses in training running today - Romeo Coolio at Leopardstown and The Jukebox Man at Kempton. Both "grand leppers" (as Ted Walsh would say) and hopefully both can prevail today.

Other fancies include Tiny Tetley e/w in the Pertemps qualifier at Wincanton (the yard have won 3 of the last 4 runnings) and a strong word from the Fat Jockey forum for Martin Brassil's runner in the Leopardstown bumper, Cityofblindinlites.

On the Supreme Novices front, Mydaddypaddy will be all the rage in the Formby but watch out for a couple of Mullins debutants at Leopardstown - Leader D'Allier (12:05 - the race won by Kopek Des Bordes last year) and Doctor Du Mesnil (12:35) could both be out of the top drawer. Champion Bumper 5th El Cairos will give Doctor Du Mesnil plenty to think about, especially as he is now relieved of the services of David Maxwell in the saddle. Another Mullins debutant worth watching is Rich Ricci's Laurets D'Estruval at Limerick (12:58).

Lovely performance from Ballyfad in the opener at Leopardstown, easily accounting for Lead D'Allier. Elliott continues to boss it in Ireland.
