    2.30 Newmarket- FLAMBUESE- 66/1 ew

Only a small stake and Bit of a shot in the dark with this one but has been racing over in France for all of her races. Won a minor race but has been running pretty consistently. Will like the distance and the good ground and altho she has masses to find it wouldn't be the biggest shock if she was to be there/ there abouts. The form in France is unknown so could be the least exposed in the race (or she will come stone last!<laugh>)

Cheers guys. Tried to book my flight back when I found out we were in and it was SOLD OUT. Since then I had a nasty accident on the golf course and have ruptured knee ligaments so two of his owners are on crutches.
His prep has not been plain sailing but he is now in rude health. I suspect Michael has been keeping a bit in hand too. He breezed away from his lead horse on Saturday. On hi Rembrandt Van Rijn form he has something in hand and so long as he stttles ok today he will win or go very close. Cracking prize on offer and feel very fortunate again to be involved. Fingers crossed the Spanish internet does not let me down.

Morning all. Happy birthday ginger, get well soon Stick and Don and good luck with Squire.

In other news I see that today marks the homecoming of the King as he has two rides at Haydock. I will therefore be backing Deep Resolve in the 1-40.

Injury on the golf course? you weren't trying to get your wallet out of your pocket were you?

Hope the injury isn't too painful, and gets sorted soon. A win today would be a welcome distraction. Good luck with him!

Morning, me old loves. How are we??? Good, good.

All about THE TIME TEST for me today (3.40 Newmarket) and I’m sure he can get his career back on track with a win in the Group 2 this afternoon. Now rated 116 how well in was he that day at Newbury, back in May, off 93?!? Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more...

A price of ‘levels’ about the old boy, in a 4 runner affair, actually looks more than generous, to my eye, and he should oblige with something to spare. Meanwhile, its great to see the Dettori creature discarded and dear old Ryan back in the saddle.

As for Squire. I hope he’s on fire and put’s those bookie chappies in the mire!

    Good luck, all.

There are some trappy races at Newmarket this afternoon, which should hopefully make for exciting racing on TV.

In the Rockfel Stakes (3:05), Hawksmoor looks to be the form pick, although if one forgives Great Page her abysmal running in the Moyglare Stud Stakes last time she has equally good chances at better odds. What makes me leave this one alone from a betting point of view is the Godolphin filly Promising Run being thrown straight into a Group 2 after winning a modest maiden.

I would definitely avoid Time Test in the Joel Stakes (3:40) as he tries a new trip in a race where last year’s victor Custom Cut may be able to dictate as his three rivals are all hold-up horses.

Whilst I wish everyone well with Squire, I think that the finale rests between the two three year olds at the top of the handicap, with slight preference being for American Artist despite his penalty for winning a moderate conditions race at Doncaster.

The opening Rosemary Stakes (1:55) presents something of a quandary as two or three owe me money! John Hammond’s French raider Lavender Lane cannot be easily discounted dropped in grade but she does appear to be a ‘nearly’ horse. Black Cherry will probably pop up today as I am deserting her in favour of MUFFRI’HA from the in-form Haggas yard, as she lost all chance at a vital stage at Doncaster and is weighted to reverse previous form with Spangled.

The bookies appear to have priced up the Nayef Stakes (2:30) from my view of the form. This does look to be between Journey, Asyad and MELODIOUS, who is preferred because form lines from her second in the Park Hill show David Elsworth’s charge should account for the others.
