Great race...heart in mouth for backers of both...I just can't back anything that J.Tizzard rides, not suggesting he was at fault here I should add.

    Just a foible of mine.

Anybody else have particular pilots they avoid?

    * gerathy nearly fell off due to cue card jumping across bob's worth. I dont think CUe Card is anywhere near what the Tizzards thinks he is but he's a good anough benchmark to be beating on debut.

I think bob's worth will look even better round a stiff track like cheltenham. RSA over 3m2f looks ideal.

Terrible from Tizzard there. Arrogant and it came back to absolutely clobber him one in the face.

Bobs Worth looks like he wants a trip but not sure he'll quite make the top over fences on that performance alone. He jumped a bit big and careful but it is testament to his ability and tenaciousness that he got up on the line.

Maybe, but to when you are only 4 or so lengths clear, you shouldn't be ****ing looking around, you should be riding your horse to the last fence and the line. Gave Bobs Worth the chance to get back at him. A poor ride, and fast becoming the Richard Hills of the jumps.

Ought to have seen that out I felt.

I think it's harsh to dig at Tizzard for his riding, he's competant enough but seems to be coming in for some flack because Cue Cards not winning. The horse hasn't been winning because he's not as good as people initially thought.

Topclass but if Cue Card hadn't of wiped out BOBS WORTH nearly 3 out I think he would have won comfortably. Cue Card not good enough neither are the two farmers

I see the farmers mess up again with Cue Card. Shocking stuff, they are really good at ruining potential stars (Send it to Nicholls!)

I'd have to watch the collison over the fence again before commenting, but obviously on todays evidence Bob's Worth will make the better chaser.

I was more annoyed that regardless of how Cue Card had got clear, he was somehow allowed to lose the race from that position. I'm not standing here and defending the absolutely ridiculous hype and rose-tinted Tizzard comments, but I do think Tizzard should ahve took full advantage of the opportunity to see the race out, even if it would have been an fortunate win.

Having backed Bobs Worth, I feel very lucky. Cue Card should have won that, and with any decent jockey on his back he would have. Great ride from Geraghty though, he closed the gap coming to the last, and got a big jump, to get him within striking distance, and then the 3m stamina kicked in.

I still think that was a promising run from Cue Card though, he was conceeding 6 pounds afterall, and Bobs Worth is a very good horse:biggrin:

Taken a chance on Jewelled Dagger at Doncaster. Interesting to see if Keith Dalgleish can transfer his good work on the flat into the NH sphere.

Shergs, very good point about the weight. I do wonder whether BW is the one to be with over an extended trip

I think they should offer the Cue Card ride to Robert Walford.

Taking the race as it was coming to the last Cue Card should have won, simple as that, and therfore it must be a poor ride from Tizzard. He's lost on a horse that should have won.

I actually thought he ran well, and still would have claims in the Jewson, depending on what else turned up.

I thought Bobs Worth was a bit disappointing to be honest. He was outpaced and looks like he wants every yard of a trip. Also his jumping was a bit big and novicey in places. On that evidence I doubt the Grands Crus camp are quaking in their boots. Ironically they would probably have been better off running in each others races (Bobs Worth over 3m and Grands Crus over 2m4f).

The weight is just an excuse. His experience over fences should have counted. ooo wait he unseated and beat a under cooked SC on his previous 2 starts. One win from last six starts isn't good enough

KS,BW was actually in receipt of 7lb's.He will improve most from the outing and may prefer a longer trip but it was still a decent effort from CC.

Zenyatta i dont see how you can say Bob's Worth was disappointing, he has done everything asked of him over a trip that is 4f shorter than he wants. His hurdle for is over 3m so it is fairly obvious that the 2m4f trip today would be on the short side for him. He has put in a clear round and but for geraghty nearly coming off at the 3rd last, which was no a blunder by the horse, he would most likely have won easier.
