Good Luck <ok>

Friday surely will see Stradivarius collect the million pound bonus in the Lonsdale, having previously dispatched all of his opponents that he has met and being rated far superior to those that he has not. Surely Frankie will not louse up. From a betting point of view, this is only of interest to forecast punters, those stupid enough to buy money on long odds on; and those looking for a multiple bet banker.

The punters looking for multiple bet bankers will probably stick Battaash in their wagers as well and hope that he does not boil over like he did last year; and that he does not come a cropper again like he did in the King’s Stand Stakes when beaten by Blue Point. He has won six from eight in the last two seasons since being gelded and on the ratings he is the best speedster in Europe.

I cannot say that I fancy anything in the Gimcrack from a betting point of view. Last year’s winner Sands Of Mali has cost me plenty this year so I certainly won’t be putting whatever wins in the notebook unless it wins by half the track suggesting that it is better than what looks a mediocre field for a Group 2.

Good luck anyone that is playing...

Not quite as big a price as Rudebwoy but my ew double goes with Mister Belvedere 25s and Ulshaw Bridge 10s

Reflections on yesterday - Laurens clearly a non-stayer 1 mile with cut probably her optimum trip. Sea of class must have a great chance in the Arc,should the owner supplement her .

Interesting post script to the Lowther. Brian Ellison stated that the Bullet had been sold to race in America and because of that he stopped training her for a week, however the deal fell through so she ran yesterday,he also said that she will get a mile, her rating will probably be 115+. Would love her to be trained for the fillies mile. A word of caution regarding Angel's Hideaway who should have been placed, not for the first time she showed temperament, and should be avoided, likewise Sharja Bridge who came to dispute on the bridle, only to stick his head in the air, perhaps he was feeling the ground.

Only one for today -but one I fancy strongly. I have had 50 quid on INDOMITABLE at 8/1 in the 4.15 at York. This horse made his debut at Chelmsford, very green leaving the stalls and was last with a furlong to run, finished very strongly beaten a neck. The winner Jfoul ran a blinder yesterday, despite dropping down in trip to finish 6th out of 20,beaten about 5 lengths.

done an each way double on Take Cover 25/1 with Finniston Farm in the last 28/1 , be happy if they both place !

You tempted me ........... Take Cover at 66-1 and St Michel at 25-1 ..... I'm eating out tonight if it pays out <laugh>

Good news for the backers of Emeraaty Ana .............. Frank has been replaced by Frankie <laugh>

There are far better judges than me, but I thought Battaash looked slightly lame walking out from his horse-box. Like I said though - what would I know!!

Got to feel gutted for Mabs Cross connections there. The winner crosses the line on a full stride with neck fully stretched with the second not quite fully extended at the line so loses by a pixel. Such fine margins for 2 lesser yards involved in the finish of a Group 1. Elation for one, despair for the other.

£75K for the runner up so not too shabby
