Good Luck <ok>

Carlisle 15.30 2 clear favs, one odds on. With 8 runners I think I'll try the 28/1 ew Brompton Cross. Newcomer by Farhh, top class 8-10f operator, out of a mare by the Arc winner Sinndar, multiple G1 winner (including Epsom and Irish Derbies) and beaten only once (by a head) in 8 races. Was a sire we were hoping to use on our Dancing Brave granddaughter, but he died at the age of 21 and our mare was later killed in a tragic accident. Obviously some sentiment in this selection but with that pedigree in a Class 4, 28/1 looks rather generous

Very sad to see such an awful turnout at Fontwell today. Far too many meetings, of course. Why on earth don't the inept horseracing 'lords' do something about the greed and utter indifference shown by bookmakers to punters, even though they try to kid everyone what great offers they are giving them? I honestly don't know how small training establishments survive, even with the ownership syndicates?

Can you elaborate? as I don’t understand

No I can't. If my post came out as rubbish then so be it. I tried my best to put forward the opinion that there are too many meetings in the UK and Ireland. Apologies to all if the wording was poor and I got the substance quite wrong. Oh well, such is life.

In a lighter vein, I love the title of the 15:17 race at Auteuil today - the "Weather Permitting Chase". <ok>

18:50 Ffos Las - Leazy Lindsay

Sporting chance to run a decent race. More rain would be a help. Richard Kingscote on board for the Milton Harris yard.

6/1 (Wm.Hill/BetVictor) best price at time of writing.

Sorry, I was meaning the bookmaker bit. It was. Genuine question rather than my usual smartarse comment!

Listened on Timeform radio and after the first furlong where he was "running green" didn't get a mention. I began to wonder if he had run out <doh>

Ah I see, or rather the commentator couldn't see. 56l behind the winner and 46l even, behind the 200/1 rank outsider. Tracker? <laugh>

I see he was was out to 66/1, opened at 40/1 and went off at 33s. I hope that contraction wasn't down to anyone here
