Morning, Rudy, everyone, on the day that the international brotherhood unites the human race.

A little light shopping in Epsom this morning brought me into contact with people who give me firmly to understand that Rufford (4.45 Ling) is fit, fancied and well up for it. Lee Carter, who I think trains in the old Reg Akehurst yard, certainly doesn't have a lot of winners, but this is a nothing race and on some of Rufford's form when he was with Fahey last year, he's not badly treated here. Probably best not to dive in too early, because it looks to me as if some money is already moving and the market's a bit distorted, but keep an eye on the on-course betting when it opens up.

that was great info mate, thanks for sharing !<applause>

Thanks, Rudy, and fraternal greetings.

STH, you're right about Harold Kirk, of course, and the man's worth every penny I assume he gets. Interestingly, I used to select girls in exactly the same way. Where did it all go wrong ?

...was Harold right then Rainer? is it all in the walk ;)

Yes, absolutely - there's nothing seductive/erotic whatever about watching girls trot.

I must have watched a million films in a long and happily-wasted life, but the one cinematic image that has always stayed with me is Julie Christie sashaying up the High Street in Billy Liar. Like Harold says, it's all in the walk.

the mear mention of the word, shivers me timbers, reminds me of the old BBC 606 days--and being banned 9 times, albeit thru a certain persons whinging(hes named after a horse that wasnt as good as kauto star btw).
anyway, hope everyone is well and prospering--------at least ODDY is,must be a well paid job this moderator malarkey----found this pic of his bathroom on the net.
good luck and live long and prosper people

KATTANGA!!!!! ENOUGH SIGNAL TO REGISTER A WINNER---should keep the logs on the fire for a while

The fat retainer that Fitri Hay and her husband are paying him, to ride their horses, should ease the pain somewhat. Do agree and it did surprise me a bit when he left Mr Beckett. Ultimately though, I guess money talks.

No I believe he took umbrage at losing a ride on one of Becket's and out of the blue threw in the towel rather than getting a review of his position with Becket. I like Becket and believe he must be a good and straight man to work for. He let him down by leaving in that way and he let himself down. Becket's website is always worth reading as he calls a spade a spade.
