Good Luck <ok>

Very quiet, but I'll give it a try!

In the finalé at Newbury (16:55), a Class-5 Apprentice Handicap over 1m2f on anticipated rain-softened ground, the Nathaniel filly, Meleri, has been given a chance to run well. Form nothing to write home about, but a few questions can be raised on a few of the other runners? Just a very modest punt. Luke Catton on board for Epsom trainer Jim Boyle's yard.

17/2 (Wm.Hill/BetVictor) best price at time of writing. E/W at these odds best option.

I wondered where you had got to Swanny

Newmarket 18.20 Oddyssey is fav, understandably, based on his 9¾L 3rd to City Of Troy (arguably the best 2yo so far). However with the Appleby/Buick combination lining up with the 800,000gns yearling Kingdom Of Time, those odds of 4/5 look a bit risky. Wouldn't surprise me if Kingdom Of Time, currently 3rd fav at 4/1 obliged. One that does interest me is the rank outsider Want Want at 50/1. Steps up to 8f following a debut run over 5f. The dam has been, what one might say, not very successful with her other 2 offspring (1 win in 18 runs). She is by Sunday Break (JPN) out of a mare by Royal Academy (not a sprinter pedigree) but the sire was an out and out sprinter. Difficult to tell whether the step up will suit or indeed whether or not he is any good. The debut run was better than the form figure indicates as he stumbled and lost his balance and ran green when 3¾L 6th of 12 at Doncaster, in a decent time. My guess is that either he is a sprinter and they are running him over 8f to give him a good handicap mark or, he needs the 8f and will outrun those odds. Hopefully this run will tell us something.

Is the RP search bar not working? Haven't been able to search a horse on here for a while now

Ran a very good race to finish second, leading most of the way and staying-on well to lose by just a neck to the favourite. At the early-bird odds, a small profit. The filly is one for the notebook. :emoticon-0142-happy

Well I was right about one thing, the fav at odds on was a bit risky but didn't expect the winner and second to take the honours. Any one taking the 50/1 for Want Want would have played safe and laid it off (SP 28/1, op 22/1 tchd 18/1) but, indeed, was found wanting. If I remember, I'll watch out for his 3rd race and then his first handicap run
