Good Luck <ok>

Taking on the Ivy Grower I see ;)

Looks a nice race for him, what's your view on the going for him? Should be quicker conditions than his last two runs and I think he ran a decent race at Sandown the last time he had good-soft (was up against some smart types there). I think he can go close off 110 and will be tuning in to cheer him along. Best of luck <ok>

Those buggers at Racing Post haven't been very kind to Rocky though - the lowest RPR in the race and a TS of just 19. Hopefully he can stuff it down their throats.

Taking on another owner on this site too.

In terms of the ground, I have probably taken over on this run, so if he hates the ground then it is on my shoulders. I haven't seen anything with his action or his runs at Sandown or Plumpton to suggest that he won't be fine on better ground. It will be interesting to see how he jumps and travels tomorrow in a normal handicap.

I think he should improve his RPR and TS figure tomorrow, and hopefully get qualified for the final.

The Skelton horse?
A few of us from the syndicate picked him up just before Windsor. We think he will bounce but you never know, if he doesn't Rocky and Jeff are hopefully fighting out the finish. We are very short at 1st Show of 3's, 6's might warrant a bet. I cant make it due to illness but any of the Rocky owners at MR; don't be too worried about his antics post race. Hopefully will not occur but if it does, you will know what I mean.

Good luck to you both and get well soon gilly (if I may call you that)

A lovely card at Windsor today to kick off the 3-day "Berkshire Winter Million" initiative - a really good idea <applause>

In the opener I like the chances of Derryhassen Paddy who won a point on heavy ground so should have no problems getting the trip. He is 2 from 2 under rules and put up a decent performance on hurdles debut, winning relatively snugly and shaping as though the step up to 3 miles will bring out plenty.

In the 2nd race the most interesting contender is Gericault Roque who hasn't run for 783 days but has a 2nd in the Ultima and a 3rd in the Hennessy on his CV. Watching brief only in what looks a nice race on paper.

In the Grade 2 Lightning Novices Chase it would be good to see Caldwell Potter get back on track. He lost little in defeat at Cheltenham where he possibly didn't see out the trip as well as the first two so coming back to 2 miles makes sense.

I really don't know what to make of a mares handicap chase so will skip that one.

The 3.00 is a cracker with all 5 in with a chance (OK maybe not Langer Dan at this time of year) and I think Nemean Lion could offer a bit of value.

Good luck to all connections in the 3:45MR. Both backed ew @14/1 and 8/1.

Just a couple for me today

1:25MR NOCTO VOLOTUS
1:15W DEAFENING SILENCE
3:00W BLUEKING D’OROUX

Smashed in to favourite and just got up by a nose. Good performance <applause>

I would be interested in him for the Albert Bartlett - I remember the lovely Lucinda winning it a few years ago with the brilliant Brindisi Breeze. 66/1 still available with Bet365, other are 40s or 33s.

Very nice from Gidleigh Park - his goose looked cooked but he found again at the business end.

Caldwell Potter didn't finish his race off again - I think a wind operation might be in the offing.

Caldwell Potter not yet living up to the £700k price tag. Has to be said though Fergie was a brilliant manager he did buy some footballing duds from time to time - Djemba Djemba

I was never quite certain about the hype behind Caldwell Potter. Go back through the form and it's nothing but mostly average horses he's beaten when he has won. I questioned the ridiculous price he was purchased for at the time as well for what he had achieved. He will be a much better horse up at 3 mile and beyond, I think anyway. He has a big engine but nowhere near quick enough for 2 mile events of a decent stature.
