Poor effort from Eminent Authority who weakened really badly. Southern France wasn't winning out of turn and Master Of Reality ran well below his Gold Cup rating, which was hardly shocking at the very different trip today.
Sir Dragonet was a huge disappointment but this had looked an afterthought for him. Missing since the Derby there must have been something amiss to keep him off the track this long. I can only assume it was deemed an easy target to build from but that looks highly unlikely now. As short as 14/1 for the Arc, he was pushed out to 33/1 in places and that makes zero appeal to me.
