Right lets get them up there bright and early. 1.30 JCB Triumph PAIN AU CHOCOLATE 20/1 His defeat of Devilment has stood up well and his subsequent Sandown win has seen Saint James run an absolute blinder in the Fred Winter. He stays well and that is usually a big factor in the Triumph hurdle- they should go a decent clip one would think. 2.40 Albert Bartlett FLETCHERS FLYER 20/1 Was so impressed by the way this horse jumped and travelled at Haydock that I simply couldn't afford to miss it on spring ground at Cheltenham. His jumping should stand him in really good stead and can conserve energy in what should be a race with plenty of pace (Blacklion & Black Hercules in particular). If it does get set up for a closer, Out Sam has a lot of class and a turn of foot, so look out for a patient Barry Geraghty ride. 03322 - Smad Place's high class Cheltenham form is interesting. He ran a blinder in the RSA last season, will be much-improved for the ground, and will get a proper pace to aim at. Winning might just be out of the question, but I am certain he can place in this field and Kings horses have run well. 3.20 CONEYGREE 10/1 Take out Silviniaco Conti and you have a seriously closely matched bunch of chasers. It is screaming for something unexposed to go to a level above them and Coneygree has to be taken seriously. It is only his novice status that makes his price so big. He jumps superbly, and we know he stays. I think the extra trip will bring further improvement because everything he has ever done has screamed stamina. His defeat of Houblons Des Obeaux reads better than Many Clouds too and I think he can do it. It would cap a great weeks racing.
Just a quick note about Blacklion, who's 14/1 to win the Albert Bartlett. Parlour Games and Vyta Du Roc both ran tremendous races in the Neptune. i think 14's is a really big each way price. Value at Risk is a nice horse as well.
[UOTE="Grecian Mick, post: 7707435, member: 1013075"]Just backed all of McCoys 5 for tomorrow. Can the Champ leave Chelts on a massive high?[/QUOTE] If he has a big line /spliff ;-) .n
Croco Bay in the lucky last. Eyecatching last time and this could be perfect for him. I expect some big prices tomorrow
Attention of Stick! It seems that the backing of Beltor antepost didn't happen - I certainly meant to at 10-1, but can't find any record of it. So to do you a massive favour I have backed Peace & Co instead - PP who return all bets if your horse finishes second or third in the Triumph Say thank you - and don't worry about paying me
Leaning heavily towards Hargam in the Triumph. Have watched replays of most of the principals and this lad looks the dogs bollocks to me. AP riding him on his last day at the festival too, I think this could be a great start to Gold Cup day for the Champ.
Got my 25s e/w ante post still going on him Nass, think he might grab a place but I think he will find one or two too good.
What's the deal on the Munir horses at Henderson's? Does Geraghty get first dibs? Top Notch looks just that to me, prefer him to Peace & Co.
Yes, Hendo gets to use stable jock if he chooses I understand. I reckon Hendo might have a special novice in Out Sam whose first hurdle run is really taking and he should love conditions.
If there's not too much rain overnight, something tells me Holywell will win the Gold Cup, in what's a very open race. Many Clouds is next best, who has better form than Holywell and is unbeaten this season. He's more rock solid and dependable.
Many Clouds. I think it's going to be a real war of attrition and he seems to have the right profile for that. Worried about the Jonjo rogue in the race and think Houb might run a big race too.
With a decent dollop of rain due to arrive in the early hours it's got to be a decent bet on Many Clouds in the big un tomorrow. Can't resist a little ew on old fav Houblon des Obeaux at 50s either. Ew lucky 31 Forced Family Fun in the County Hurdle, Blaklion in the AB, Many Clouds in the GC, Salsify in the Foxhunters and Grumeti in the lucky last. Very best of luck to everyone.
Is much rain expected then? Haven't seen the forecast, was just thinking that with decent ground dear old Astracad might finally get a well deserved big race victory in the lucky last. But if the rains come, forget it.
