Evening all - I see Arctic fire out tomorrow personally I think the boys owes nothing to his owners but new trainer and after going in to retirement for over a year he is 5/2 at the moment could be ****ing huge in this company if he retains any ability! No bet for me but could make that price look extremely silly

Alpha Centauri looks way too short in the Falmouth at 1/3!
Ok I know she was impressive at Ascot but there are a couple of good other horses in this today.
Aiden O'Brien has always liked CLEMMIE and she should run a big race today. Represents much better value surely.

But THREADING is also a huge threat. A runner up to Alpha Centauri in the Coronation and I wouldn't be surprised to see her win at odds of 8/1

If there is an odds-on racing certainty to be had this month, it is today. The Falmouth Stakes looks like a forecast betting race. Alpha Centauri is clearly the best three year old filly and should have no trouble collecting another Group 1 here. With neither of the older horses good enough, it may be down to Threading to follow the Irish 1000 Guineas winner home again. There are no grounds for thinking Clemmie will suddenly come good (possibly has not trained on): unusual for O’Brien to have eight entered and only field one.

The Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes almost looks like a re-run of the Albany with winner Main Edition re-opposed by runner-up La Pelosa (previously beat Chaleur), fourth Angel’s Hideaway, fifth Pretty Pollyanna and seventh Chicas Amigas. Although the form has a suspicious look because a blanket would have covered the first eight, I see no reason why MAIN EDITION should not come out on top again unless the extra furlong sees shock Queen Mary runner-up Gossamer Wings (from another blanket finish) improve past her.

Pretty Baby would have been the pick in the Summer Stakes at York but not at the available odds, with more non-runners likely as it dries up. Nothing appeals on the rest of the card.

On Racing UK, why were they so desperate to try and paint the decision of the Ascot Stewards in the 2:15 as being controversial?

If Dirty Rascal had kept the race it would have been a huge injustice to Marhaba Milliar. The first past the post clearly impeded Rab Havlin’s mount inside the final furlong. It then recovered, rallied and failed to get up in a photo finish.

There was no way under the rules that the Hannon colt could be allowed to keep a victory that had been obtained through careless riding by Pat Dobbs.

At Newmarket, Main Edition and La Pelosa were squashed against the rails by Angel’s Hideaway under Frankie. I think the winner would still have won and neither of the first two in the betting would have featured as the Gosden filly interfered in passing; but how come the Stewards did not see fit to punish Dettori (not the horse) for his careless actions?

----------

Correction: just announced on Racing UK that Dettori has got a ten day ban and will miss Glorious Goodwood and the King George at Ascot.

evening fellas!

ELGIN is a horse,i like a lot, albeit over hurdles, where hes a top class performer, but he showed just as much ability on the level so far,and should go really well here.especially on his mark, compared to his hurdles mark, could well be a handicap blot..

Mate just sent me clip of his dadsd bet today, fecking wish he'd sent it to me this morning lol
Returned him £5k
