    Leaving Chester well alone today.

    Yankee at Lingfield

    2.35 Jammy Guest
    3.05 Space War
    4.15 Sandfrankskipco
    4.50 Uncle Fred

Quietly confident, which usually means I will not even get a place.

Jumped off of Memphis thankfully after gettin it wrong with COntributor, although track position might have cost him his chance in hindsight.

Two singles and a dbl, Jammy Guest and Mount Athos, laughing, cant belive ive had to good doubles up at Chester, usually have a mare at this meeting but its been almost impossible to lose with the results the last two days.

2/2 so far mate, well done! I was on space war single and the bottom 3 in a trixie. Space war won that after missing the break by miles, one to watch next time out for sure.

What do you boys reckon to the chances of VASTLY in the 7:25 at Nottingham? Not beaten a huge distance by Spillway on his second run giving away 20lbs. Spillway has since gone on to win off 74 and 82 in his two starts since. LTO finished 4th 4L behind Punditry giving away 19lbs who went close off a mark of 71 next time out.

Vastly has been given a mark of 70, surely he has to be thrown in on that?! Should come on for only his 4th run too!

That's why Matt Chapman is so needed on ATR. The presenters spent the first 5 minutes after the last race at Lingfield pretending Jimmy Fortune had ridden a great race and not come across against rules or taken anyone's ground, even pointing out the orange marker without noticing he is 6 stalls width across by then.

Since deluged with e mails they look again and edge ever so gently in suggesting he may have done, they are so frightened of taking a strong view even when it's obvious. Jimmy fortune started coming across the moment the stalls opened which should get him a ban anyhow, he then takes the ground of two others to secure the rail potentially causing a pile up. It was a superb ride if you were on Blanc de chine as Jimmy won the race for you with that manoeuvre. If you were on the best horse in Titus Gent the jockey lost you the race by committing the most common error in race riding which is failing to ride a start with as much intention as a finish. Titus Gent had the rail and all he had do was hold it and Jimmy would not have got over.

As there are 3 places up for grabs in the first at Ascot I am going for an outsider

    Ascot
    5.30 Red Lady 25-1 EW

K.Fallon has mentioned Brian Meehan having some good horses ready to go and I feel he would not select just any horse to contest an Ascot Maiden, at 25-1 this could pay much more than the market leaders for a place.
