That's not what you were saying a week or so ago though was it? You said Nadal was better than Murray now. Not at their best but on current form. You've dropped a right clanger there my friend. Nadal's a knackered old coil nowadays.

I know what i was saying and its no different to now. I admitted Rafa had been out of form but stand by that he's better than Murray, i also said Federer was past this best but saves his best for Wimbledon. But wasn't me who was saying Murray was the best on grass, oh dear!

<laugh> the Not606 tennis challenge cup.

I reckon all debates should be settled this way from now on! Anyone got the keys to Wimbers?

It was me said that, not Bob. Clearly this tournament makes this statement look foolish, but hey ho, not the first time I've been wrong, as you know <laugh> To be fair no one could have expected Roger to play like he has, to be serving 75% + first serves in is truly freak like! To counter balance you did categorically state Nadal was better than Murray on grass now, well that's as foolish as what I said as he went out, in what the 2nd round whereas Murray lost in the semis to the greatest player of all time, who I, like most others thought was past it.

    Sport, eh <laugh>

I do think Nadal is better than Murray now but admitted Nadal had been struggling. Guess we won't find out now as they didn't get the chance to play. But I'm man enough to admit it looks a bit silly now because Nadal is looking a spent force. And Bob did say Murray was best grass player around but that he'd backed Djokovic because he was worried about Murray having to go through Federer and Nadal.

I absolutely think Murray is the best grass player but Fed's recaptured the form he was showing 6 years ago. Hence my Justin Gatlin comparison/joke.

Let's leave it chaps. At the end of the day it's all about the betting on here and i'm still in with a chance of collecting!

I can't say I was suprised with the Tennis today, Federer is still the man, and I hope he wins the final. Just wish I'd had some of the 8/1 at the start.

Everyone keeps writing Federer off, and then he has his game peak for the tournament that matters most to him.

I think Federer can still do it at such an old age in Tennis terms, because his game has never relied on being a a great athlete like Nadal for instance has. Federer has always relied mainly on skill, and as I've always said Federer plays every single shot with more skill than all of his rivals throughout his career.

Nadal is starting to suffer now, as his body is failing him, and he can't get around the court, nor strike the ball with the same level of power as he used to.

So I don't see Nadal catching Federers haul of major titles, even though a few years ago it looked like he had a chance

I think she let the home crowd get under her skin abit in that match, and that was why Heather Watson pushed her so close. Though I do agree the final isn't a full gone conclusion, the Spanish girl has played some good stuff so far, so can hopefully give her a game
