Hasanour runs again tonight at 7.35. Maybe not as straight forward an assignment as last time off the revised mark but i still expect a win and 3/1 is about right.

Not at all Bob, she was cantering as well. I don't like jockey bashing but surely he must have realised by switching her right he gave up all chance of winning, seemed to panic.

Oh well we move on, small bet on Lucida as she is becoming a cliff horse for me

Amazing Maria backs her Ascot win up cosily.

And this time I can't stick up for Manning's ride aboard Lucida!

If you hear a gunshot in the background at Newmarket, that will be somebody putting Kevin Manning down. Another fantastic ride, getting boxed in coming out of the dip; although his filly was not good enough to win anyway. Lucida does not have a turn of foot she just has one burst (as she showed at Newmarket when caught in the last fifty yards).

Should we forgive the French jockeys for allowing their mounts to drift to the far side of the track? The fast ground was just what they wanted having never run on it before. No idea why Soumillon decided to go half way across the track from being three off the stands’ rail on Avenir Certain but he virtually carried Bawina with him. If Guyon had challenged on the stands’ side, Bawina could have won.

Credit to James Doyle on the winner, Amazing Maria; she is clearly flourishing since switching to David O’Meara.

Very well done rainer. Seem to recall that horse winning a similar event at Lingfield a year or two back.

Just shows Murray isn't in the same league with Federer on form. Demolition job.

Just a different class the top ones are. Murray is good but he needs the top players to have an off day to win. At his best he's nowhere near Federer/Djokovic and even Nadal at their best

Thats as bad a beating as Murray has received in the last few years.

Completely outclassed and most have covered double the ground of the victor.

    Can't remember Ferderer serving,or indeed returning,better.

Absolute clinic from the greatest of all time! Didn't give him a prayer this year but just shows never write off class. Murray actually done well to hang in with him but Federer looked to be toying with him! If he serves like that, he'll blow Novak away. You can't live with him in that form....at the peak of his powers at merely 34! Incredible.
