Anyone else see the story that racing is set to be taken off Terrestrial TV screens for 20 days after York’s ‘Ebor’ meeting and won’t return until Donny’s St Leger meet in mid-September??? Channel 4 will move there Saturday coverage on both 1 & 8 September onto ‘More 4’ because of the Paralympics Games. A bit worrying and let’s hope this is a one-off.

Would have thought in the digital age the multiscreen option resolves these issues...

Hajam in the first at Brighton has had two very tough races, 3 of the 4 that finished ahead of him on debut are C1 horses now including Audi Richmond Stakes winner Heavy Metal and the other won well yesterday at Brighton, didnt take to hvy ground lto and will find todays task much easier. Big enough odds at 15/2

There is a horse running in the 3.10 seller at Brighton called Crown Dependency. This horse won a race at Goodwood last year and looked the real deal. I am not sure what has happened this year but if i were a trainer i would snap him up as although there is clearly something wrong at present he has ability within him and if willing to spend time on him i feel sure would end up with a great bargain.

I have no real view to if he will win today as he is clearly not as he was but all i do know it is amazing is even running in a seller.

Bluesky, he ran in a seller last time out as well. Totally agree with what you are saying though. Crown Dependency seems to have gone stale at the Hannon’s and a change of scenery could most deffo revitalise the horse.

Very well done Jeff and a good price.

He has to be worth a shot Barney, take him home to a new environment, have him really heavily scanned by the vets to try and locate any problem and then forget this season to let him start enjoying being a horse again, and bring him back again next year, worth a shot if i were a trainer.

There is a very good each-way bet later at Brighton

4.10 Manomine 20-1 EW
As long as there are no withdrawals i think 20-1 is a huge price for an each way bet. There is nothing wrong with the way this horse has been running and should be half those odds.

I recall Musselburgh USED to have the highest % of winning favs anyone know if this is still the case?

Shocking ride on Schmooze there, jockey couldn't have found more trouble if he had tried, ran him into the back of about 4 horses :bandit:

Danny Tudhope just won well at Mussleburgh. At this moment in time i would say he is riding better than most along with Jim Crowley, the pair of them just behind Richard Huges who is looking sublime in the saddle. Pat Dobbs also very under used.

It must be very frustrating to be that good and not get rides in the top races.

Only bet of the day is 6.00 Tipperary My Girl Anna 6/1 e/w. She's in great form at present, will love the soft ground and I can't see her out of the first 3.
