If we sell Ayew he will get ABOUT 7 million of it or so . He's on the same kinda deal as Gomis .The longer they play for us , the lower the guarentee on the money owed to them goes . Anybody that really wants Ayew will have to cough up about 18 million ,in the caught between a hard place and a mountain January window ......straight cash , no other players involved imo .
SO are you saying our negotiating team should be chatting with you on this? Amazes me how people know in the inner workings of a football club, in reality you know F**k all.
Sunderland remain in negotiations to sign Swansea forward Andre Ayew, although there are serious question marks over the possibility of Fabio Borini being involved in any deal. The Black Cats saw an initial bid rejected for Ayew more than a week ago after making a shock approach for the Ghana international. But Sunderland have continued talks over the 26-year-old, amidst reports last night that an offer of £10million-plus Borini has been submitted to the Welsh club. Sunderland sources insist that no bid has been made of that size, although the club’s interest remains firm, with Ayew thought to be Sam Allardyce’s top target ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline. Swansea are interested in Borini too, with new boss Francesco Guidolin understood to be a fan of the Italian and the idea of a swap deal originating from the Liberty Stadium. However, sources close to Borini - who enjoyed a loan spell at Swansea earlier in his career - continue to insist that the ex-Liverpool man will “100 per cent” be staying at Sunderland this month. Borini only returned to Sunderland in a £7.75m deal last summer and although he was clearly unhappy at being substituted in last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth, he is not looking to move on in this window. Sunderland boss Allardyce confirmed last week that he still wants to add a forward and a defender to his squad before the end of the transfer window. http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...-doubts-over-fabio-borini-swap-deal-1-7696175
He wasn't for sale last week according to you. Love the way wums who don't know their own club make statements then slowly try to U-Turn.
They're just ****ting themselves at the prospect of losing their best player. I still can't see it going ahead - even less so since Borini apparently isn't interested in the move. Just hope we haven't put all our eggs into one basket and leave ourselves short.
Normally, by now, the player or his agent has come out and dismissed the link if they wouldn't contemplate the move. From what I see, Ayew isn't doing that... something is not right down there in the Valleys.
Not to us maybe but they want him off the wage bill. They were expecting a signing like him to propel them into a top 6 place but it hasn't happened. They've ****ed their wage bill up so much relegation would be crippling. That's why they're trying to shift high earners. Contingency plan. We know about Swansea's predicament only full well. Free transfers for out of contract players come with over inflated wages which you can't shift. If Ayew is getting a fee from swansea if they sell him, it clear it's to make up for the wages he'll have to drop at any other club, they're not going to want to stump up this fee if they're relegated and nobody will match his wages because he's an overpaid freebie. It's best if they get shot in case they did go down.
