I think the family area is a good idea, as it encourages a wider section of the population to feel a part of the club, and providing a specific space for them should reduce the numbers 'sat' among the noisier element, which can only be a good thing in my opinion.

Don't forget, if you have a family area, by definition, you are more likely to have a non-family area too.

I realise it was a genuine question, I don't know the economics of it, just thought I'd make a light-hearted reply. However given there's only another 10 or so games left I wonder if the cost of hiring a few coaches means that much in the grand scheme of things?

I much prefer an away game(though technically every game is one for me). There's a better atmosphere at them and some of them are easier, and cheaper, for me to travel to and it's a one day hit.

Acun obviously realises the rail action is impacting those who travel to away games and he's laying on free transport to alleviate that...It's a fantastic gesture.

I did plan to come down this weekend for the Fulham game but that's scrapped due to strikes and with more action planned and no end in sight I'm stuck in limbo at present:emoticon-0106-cryin

The cost is £200k. I would imagine that could rise or fall depending on results.

Will you take advantage yourself?(obviously depending on your health).

Same question to all those who have posted on the subject.

Sadly I struggle to get to home games so these away games are a no-no. Used to love the away games.

Ditto...But swap Leeds for Glasgow!! It's so ****ing frustrating!!

I'm hopeful that by the time April 7th comes the strikes will be over and I'll travel from Glasgow to Hull, take advantage of the free travel to Sunderland, travel back to Hull after the game, then get the train back to Glasgow??? I'm determined not to miss out on this offer:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Maybe it's things like this and your public comments on how poor the ticket sales are for the Fulham game are what keep you out of the supporters meetings.

I should add that I think you would be an asset to the supporters meetings.

What an outstanding gesture by our owner. He may get some things wrong along the way. But he’s doing some absolutely amazing things. Top man Acun.

I’d love to but it would involve a house move.

Did you think I meant 20k fans a game? Even I'm not that daft! I meant 20k pounds is a lot of buses, I would imagine.

They are better if you want to organise a day out including a few pints. Official coaches arrivals and departures tend to be governed by the police who want to limit the time you have to wander about.

There's nine games (it starts with Stoke), so it would be over £22k a game.
