I reckon a few people will be watching him and Everton would want a canny fee, especially after what happened with Gosling. Good call though, he's gonna be class.

 

We should keep Lovenkrands and Best, get rid of Shola and Kuqi, send Ranger and Airey out on loan, and sign Elmander and Larsson on a free.
Then we should buy Gervihno and Gameiro.

 

Agree with all of that except Elmander, he's not much better than Shola imo and would be a pointless signing. Keep Shola, Best and Lover, get a class striker in (Gameiro would do nicely) and a good winger like Gervinho. Larsson looks like a done deal to me and I think he's excellent. Wouldn't mind LB cover and a better CD to partner Colo.

 

Wouldn't Gameiro need to play alongside someone else though? Someone bigger? He's only like what, 5 ft 7? Don't think he'd work well up on his own, and we know that's what Pardew's wanting next season, Ben Arfa to play behind a striker. Would like Gameiro though, so we could get Ba and stick them two up front together? Pow, right in the kisser.

 

Aye I can see him staying with Everton for ages or moving to one of the top clubs in the league. He's one of my favourite players at the minute.

 

**** Shola, i'm sick of him. I love him as a bloke but i'm sick of him as a player. He's ****ing ****e, he has 1 good game and then ****s off for the next 5. His work rate is crap, and his laziness shouldn't be tolerated. He's also had far to many injuries for a bloke that runs about 5 yards every game.

Get rid of Shola, keep Lover and Best, buy 2 more strikers. Elmander is worth it on a free, and he certainly is better than Shola. Buy Gameiro, and also buy Demba Ba from West Ham. We should buy 2 more strikers and get one on a free.

Gameiro, Ba, Best, Lover and Elmander is a good strike force.

 

I think Pardew wants to employ a less direct style of play so someone like Gameiro with HBA behind would be awesome, for the tougher teams we've got Besty, Nolan and Shola who are great at getting a head on the end of long balls.

Shola ain't the best but he's experienced, on low wages and can be a useful impact sub. Elmander has had half a good season after many very poor seasons, I'm honestly not that fussed about him. If anything his goal tally earlier this season was credit to Owen Coyle and the way he's had Bolton playing.

 

Anyone else check out Alex from Fenerbache? I know he's 33 and I'm not saying sign him but his goalscoring record for them isn't bad 115 goals in 201 league appearances. Not bad at all considering he's a midfielder aswell

 

Turkish league mate, it's gash. No doubt he's still a talented player but Turkish clubs pay alot of money for old has-been "celebrity" players, he's probably on 100k per week!

 

Fair point. But Shola would have to accept being 5th choice, because after Ba and Gameiro, Best and Lover make a good partnership, so Shola is going to be bottom of the pack.

 

Shola has spent a lot of his career way down the pecking order here, and it might motivate some better performances (and maybe more than a light jog) out of him as he seems used to being 1st/2nd choice now.

 

I suppose it would motivate him to play well in his few games, but i'm just sick of his bone idleness.
