Imperialist nonsense it may be but Argentina has no claim either. Finders keepers.

You are right though, if they did invade there is little we could do, we don't have the equipment or the manpower.

Bit of a difference fighting guerilla tactics in Afgan to the conventional warfare fighting South Americans. Quitly confident we'd whip them good. Plus oor pals in North America would feel obliged to pitch in seeing as we helped out in their recent wars.

South America has no experience of guerilla warfare?

Britain can't even find men to fill their submarines

The US would not get involved

If you go back far enough every country has fought guerilla warfare at some point.

I know a guy that served in the Malvi...Falklands.

They called the inbred locals "Bennys" as they, apparently, all looked like Benny from Crossroads.

Argentina have never ever EVER owned the islands, there claim to them is less valid than our own.

What next, Chile claiming the Pitcairns, Qatar claiming the Indian Ocean territory, France claiming Guernsey.

**** off Dora, there ours until we squeeze every ounce of oil out of the sea.

    Agree

Aside from that our Navy is only about half the size of the task force we sent in '82. Plus if it doesn't kick off soon we would have to make sure we get the rota right with the French to borrow the Aircraft carrier <doh>

Only solution is Nuke the Bastards

The UK Government has gave license to Rockhopper to drill for oil off the coast, Rockhopper have £2bn invested in the project.

They went to the LSE and declared that the UK have pledged to defend the islands should they come under attack.

    David Cameron also confirmed this.
