Here is a thread for our resident statistician to post all the historical snippets he can find to prove that his beloved team (SAFC) is far superior in every way to NUFC.

It's also a thread of love so that his 'dalliances' with Comm and other 'fellow' SAFC posters are contained in the same 'love bubble' for future prosperity.

I'll get the ball rolling Fredor....

We've played in Yewrope loads more than you.... so ner, ner, ner, ner, ner, <whistle>

Lets put in perspective the ( Support) that Newcastle fans afford their team, when they were winning they achieved a gate of 52,311 when not doing so well this dropped dramatically to 24,806, no other supporters came close to such apathy , the only league I could find in which they were top was the number of excuses put forward for this anomaly

Sunderland have won the title in what is the premier league of English football, six ( 6 ) times and have also been runners up in the same league five ( 5 ) times

Next season they will be once again aiming to improve on this record

Their record attendance stands at over 75,000

Outside of football they were for almost 500 years the biggest shipbuilding town in WORLD

It is not difficult to see why the residents of Newcastle are so envious
Winter is upon us, temp down to 24 degrees but we can handle it

Care to elaborate which game the crowd was 24,806 as last season the lowest League and Cup crowd size was 26,923 against Northampton Town. Hate to be pedantic but the impression I had was that you are/were talking about last seasons crowds. Also don't want to be stitched up like a kipper like someone recently when betting with Chippy.

Really !!!!!!!!!! 26,000 now that's what I call support , is that all the ground can hold or was there another reason , you have to support your team EVERY season , I don't want to be pedantic but does it really matter which season, just try to copy the consistency of Sunderland , every season every game

    Do they stitch kippers ?

Haha have you ever qualified for europe, let alone champions league? Have you ever played a competitve game against Barca or Juve? Has Shola Ameobi scored more european goals than sunderland players made european appearences? Jeez Titus Bramble has more european appearences than your club! I swear Nile Ranger also played in the uefa cup. Nile Ranger has had more of a mark on the uefa cup than Sunderland as a club in like 100 odd years!!!

Sunderland, laughing stock of the world! crappy plastic stadium with stupid pink seats, no history. Honestly if you descended down the leagues no one would care. We get a relegation and the whole of europe knows about it. Just because you lot had a family reunion at a game and managed 75k turn up. Big woop, you can have your 75,000 cousins. Your also the only football team to knowingly play a peado. why else did Byrne run?

Peruse all of the figures and decide for yourself which supporters should hang their heads in shame for their fickle attitude to their team

You haven't been stitched up Pen but you have certainly been shown up

Congrats 86.3% of your stadium full, 2nd worse in the league. I'm loving those stats!

Lowest Home attendance in the cup was Northampton 26,923 - Two credible sites depict this compared to a table from god knows where? Your stats are wrong

    upload_2016-6-1_10-46-9.png

    upload_2016-6-1_10-46-37.png

Our Lowest attendences came against Northampton and Sheffield Weds both in the cup both Mid-week

In the league our lowest attendence was 46,424 again Midweek and against Man City which is only 1200 off your all time high this season. For the majority of the season's home games we have more fans in attendance then what you recorded as your highest.

120,000.00 more people through the door over the course of 19 league games and 2 cup games! I also think you played alot more cup gams than us so Its not even comparible!

    Right, I understand now.

They didn't teach maths at your school. Not too surprising given that schools were in their infancy when you went.

    NUFC have:

    1. Average attendance for last season of 48,615.
    2. Highest gate last season of 52,311.
    3. Percentage ful last season of 92.8%

    And SAFC have:

    1. Average attendance for last season of 42,301.
    2. Highest gate last season of 47,653.
    3. Percentage ful last season of 86.3%

And THAT shows SAFC have the better fans.

    <doh>

Shown up? Only in your world Fred.
