I wouldn't mind but the conditions where the same for every runner, and no one else complained in any of the other races.

Getting the ground you want, is pot luck, however the very best horses will cope whatever the ground is.

I think SDG bounced a little in the CC, no matter what the ground is, he is much better horse than Somersby, who got within a length of winning. So perhaps in hindsight running the horse 18 days before the race was a bad idea. So I wouldn't put his abject performance down to the ground alone :biggrin:

I agree actually - him and NTD were extremely ungracious in victory when it counted (i.e SDG last year and Imperial Commander in 2010). Don't worry what the press said and just enjoy the moment you sadsacks.

Yeah NTD is a tool aswell, he's got one of those faces you just wanna smack. Was laughing at how grumpy he was in his interview before the CH<laugh>

Just got round to watching my recordings of Channel 4 last night.. How much does he regret his 'Faugheen's a grinder and The New Ones got the best turn of foot' comment now I wonder lol

In fairness I like his banter lol
