I wouldn't mind but the conditions where the same for every runner, and no one else complained in any of the other races.
Getting the ground you want, is pot luck, however the very best horses will cope whatever the ground is.
I think SDG bounced a little in the CC, no matter what the ground is, he is much better horse than Somersby, who got within a length of winning. So perhaps in hindsight running the horse 18 days before the race was a bad idea. So I wouldn't put his abject performance down to the ground alone
