Hmmmm.
I know it was his mendacious old feller who rankled everyone in 2009 but think FC has been a smidgeon too happy to let it all unfold as it did.
That said, if we'd managed to sign him, we'd never have gone down in 2010 and would be a well-established premier league club.

People give far too much credence to a few quotes his old man gave to the HDM which were then ran elsewhere. Throughout the ENTIRE saga - even when every other outlet copied the HDM's stance - RH stuck to their guns that he never had any intention of joining us. He did not f**k us around, it was just everyone believed what his dad, Brown and Duffen told the HDM.
