Greg is correct. It’s my irritating, repetitive humour. Just when a non-joke is worn thin is when it comes into its own for me.

Adding an insightful comment takes something away from the comedy for me.

But back on the topic of Frazer. I don’t think he should be given a new contract. I like him, he is a good guy, but he’s spent so long on the sidelines and didn’t want to move for first team football. We don’t really know what happened behind the scenes but he’s cost us a lot over the years as a 2nd keeper.

Im very grateful for the 3pts but my opinion stands; he’s capable of first class performances but isn’t consistent enough to be nailed on no 1.
If its irritating and repetitive its probably not humour.

Well I got it, and you shouldn't feel compelled to respond to Greg, he doesn't seem to like it if someone just makes a flippant, humour led comment, he seems to come across as demanding to know why it was posted and what your views must be!

Relax, life really ain't that serious Greg

It’s okay, I’m very difficult to offend!

My post was a reply to St Jabbo’s. I also had the other point about squad harmony linked to paying reserves too much and potential historic issues signing people because of it that I forgot to put in an earlier post. So wrapping them together seemed like a good idea

Unclear why there was a post about not getting offended. Must be something I am missing

Thanks for educating us how to respond to posts Billy, I’m sure Lovelocum can make his own mind up. :)

I read Billbaos post as though they thought I might have been offended, and replied suggesting that I wasn’t upset. Nothing more to it.

Fraser has played out of his skin for us in the last few games. He has had some cracking stints in the team over the years but I wouldn’t give him a new contract at this point. My gut feeling is that he will lose form once he’s got security. Been here a long time, is playing well because he’s in the shop window and won’t keep that same drive when he’s not. He will go on elsewhere and do better than if he stays at saints is my feeling. Might sound mad but you gotta trust your gut .

Agree. I’ve always thought he was class but when koeman left (I think?) he lost his spot and should have left. He sat on the sidelines for such a long time, suggests he wasn’t that motivated to play. He’s too good to be back up and too highly paid imo.
Edit: it was 17/18 that McCarthy became first choice.
