I've sort of developed an interest in the German side of things. After a quick scout around, it seems as though these folk are well and truly punching above their weight. There are some great reads as to why this is happening. With only about a dozen TB studs that produce something like just a thousand foals per year, they might be on to something. The Frankel coverings of Danedream, Nouvelle Noblesse, Sasuela and Sortita might be the way to go. I hope so.

I was hoping that the filly I had championed on these pages for over a year, Radiator, would get to pay Frankel a visit but it looks a case of not this time around. However, interestingly, I see that Radiator’s mother, Heat Haze, is included on the list for 2015. That’s a potential topnotcher and one to put in your notebooks, people.

Wonder if any guys on the forum can boast a schedule like that in their productive years? Come on now, let's hear from you.......:emoticon-0112-wonde

Edit.

I'm looking forward to the Frankel/Zenda offspring from this book.

Cyc, sadly the German breeding industry is in decline despite their success on the world stage - so many of their good horses are being sold abroad. For many years the German racing/breeding industry was closed to outsiders so their gene pool was limited in the main to their own blood. As German races are generally run over longer distances and in testing conditions only the toughest succeeded and made it to stud.

Even now they have the toughest breeding regulations in the world - stallions must have raced for at least 2 seasons (not necessarily consecutive) and they are not allowed to go to stud if they've raced on any form of medication, which rules out pretty much anything to have raced in the USA!

Oddy, she visited Invincible Spirit this year so they may try with Frankel again next year. Would be great to see the offspring!

Indeed, although I think we sometimes expect too much from these things? Would anyone have thought in advance that Galileo and Kind would have produced such a monster as Frankel?

Regarding the Chestnut colt out of Danedream, any idea where he might one day race?

I don't know what the Yoshida's are doing with the offspring. Normally they take the mares back to Japan and use their own stallions, but they've left Danedream in Europe for two years now. She was covered by Dubawi this year. Perhaps they are having a change in policy and leaving some mares in Europe with a view to seeing their offspring run here? We'll see in the next year or so in terms of what happens to her Frankel yearling, a filly named NOTHING BUT DREAMS.

Took the little lady out this evening and after a rather nice bottle of Rioja she accepted my
"mate" Frankel on a once only basis! Can she go 133? The closer to October the nearer her birthday!

Thanks so very much, as a result I might get to the Great Wall of China!! Presuming she enjoys it and the offspring are profitable!!!
