His first run though.REGEM 4th and very green at Gowran. Needed a hood to go into the stalls as well as a fair bit of cajoling!
Considering he hates running downhill and not happy with Epsom I thought he ran a blinder. After all he had about a furlong to make a run and he did that in style. Watched it twice and for me that was among his best runs, he proved a serious will to to win.Sorry, busy few days!
CRACKSMAN gave me a few heart-stopping moments but he came good. Apparently he hit his head in the stalls just before the gate opened.
Anyway, great news from Japan this morning: the tough little MOZU ASCOT became Frankel’s 3rd G1 winner an hour or so ago!

He was 1.9 secs faster than the Oaks winner and 3.56 secs slower than the Derby winner. But the ground was soft for the Coronation and Oaks and good for the Derby. Not sure how much difference the ground makes to times but Cracksman was carrying the same weight as the Oaks and Derby winners.
