Absolutely! In the majority of cases Frankel does seem to be throwing his stock to the dam. It’s one of the reasons people went lukewarm on him at the first foal and yearling sales as they came in lots of different shapes and sizes. What he does seem to have bestowed to many of his offspring is his stride length and engine.
And charecter. Seems a lot of trainers appear to be struggling with that.

At Breakfast With the Stars this morning, Aidan O’Brien confirmed that NELSON and ZABRISKIE are likely to be in the Ballydoyle contingent for the Derby.

WITHOUT PAROLE declared for the Listed Heron Stakes at Sandown on Thursday evening.

Weekender runs in the G3 Brigadier Gerard Stakes on the same card.

Workmanlike for WITHOUT PAROLE this evening but apparently he missed a lot of work due to his bruised foot so should come on a bunch for the run. He heads for the St James’ Palace.

WEEKENDER was 3rd in his race.

Sorry, busy few days!

CRACKSMAN gave me a few heart-stopping moments but he came good. Apparently he hit his head in the stalls just before the gate opened.

Anyway, great news from Japan this morning: the tough little MOZU ASCOT became Frankel’s 3rd G1 winner an hour or so ago!

So pleased to see MARECHAL NEY has an entry, he’s closely related to Golden Horn as their dams are half-sisters.

On that topic, Flèche d’Or (dam of Golden Horn) gave birth to a Frankel colt in March.
