This Frankel filly Ejtyah comes from a good family. The bottom line looks Aga Khan but is actually Boussac, which he bought into 40 years ago. Amazing how many boussac horses are coming through at the moment.

She ran well, another Stakes horse!

Sun Maiden is a Frankel sister to Midday. Will they be thinking of going to the Oaks on the back of a romp in what may not have been a very hot race? She has only had two career starts but currently the Oaks trials have not thrown up much to give Lah Ti Dar – also only twice raced – a run for the money.

Sadly, Midday’s Frankel daughter Mori was very disappointing at York.

Have to agree about Mori, was hoping for better as she had a wind op after her last run, maybe retirement will be on the cards as she is clearly not good enough in group company.

Sun Maiden's win reminded me of Frankels second start even though his opposition was slightly better. Zabriskie was the surprise of the day.

Now why did I not back the Frankel half-brother to Kingman, FIRST ELEVEN, which I put as my dark horse in the 2018 Almanac Competition? It looks like he was just a slow learner as a two year old, although he was running off just 77 at Newbury so he has a little bit more improvement to make before we talk about him in the same light as his esteemed relatives.

Just watched the replay and I though Wadilsafa won very nicely at HQ - always in the firing line and the way he pulled clear in the last 100 yards suggests he might yet take up that Derby entry?

I have just read that EMINENT has overcome his heart problem :emoticon-0169-dance and might run at Royal Ascot, this was a quote from M. Meade

It returned to normal very quickly and we've had no recurrence, so it's not unreasonable to assume that's a one-off, and it can happen.
He's worked since and been perfect, but obviously we watched him with an eagle eye. He'll be prepared for Ascot and I'll take him for a racecourse gallop before just to get him in a different environment.
