Been a bit busy with things at this end so I've not kept on top of entries/results!

KHATTAR finished 8th at Wolverhampton on Saturday. He's been gelded and now finished down the field in 3 starts so it is safe to say he won't be one of the leading lights!

MIKEY READY is declared to run at Kempton tomorrow
WISHING TIME is entered at Wolverhampton on Saturday
 
The two Japanese fillies are still heading for their respective G1 targets before the end of the year.

SOUL STIRRING entered in the G1 Hanshin Juvenile Fillies this Sunday (11th)
MI SUERTE entered in the G1 Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes at Hanshin on Sunday 18th December, taking on the boys

Frankel is now the leading sire of Group winning 2yos in the northern hemisphere in 2017, surpassing War Front and his own sire Galileo, with 6 individual Group winners.

He may add to that tally on Saturday night when MI SUERTE runs in the final G1 event of the two year old calendar. If she wins, taking on the colts, she will become the first filly to do so since 1980 and make Frankel only the third sire in recent years to achieve the Japanese Juvenile G1 double after Deep Impact and King Kamehameha.

Frankel has 6 two year olds in training in Japan, 3 of which have run, 2 of them winners.

Recent all-weather results have not been good with WISHING TIME and MIKEY READY finishing 6th and 7th respectively. Frankel has yet to sire a winner on a synthetic surface in 7 attempts.

TOUCH OF PARADISE (out of Oaks winner Ramruma and owned by the Coolmore partners) will aim to put that right tomorrow at Newcastle, though she also has an entry for Chelmsford on Thursday.

First Aussie runner looks set to go in a barrier trial:

High hopes for Frankel trial runner at Randwick

FRANKEL is set to be represented on the track by one of the best bred of his southern-hemisphere runners in the coming days.

The strikingly named Woman, a two-year-old chestnut filly by the undefeated dual world champion, will race in Trial 3 at 8.45am AEDT at Randwick in Sydney on Monday.

For those who are not well versed in Australian racing, a barrier trial is a televised training race. They are similar to schooling bumpers used by National Hunt trainers, but with the difference that horses in New South Wales must trial to be eligible to race.

Gai Waterhouse, who with co-trainer Adrian Bott is overseeing the career of Woman, reported: "Woman is a beautiful filly. She has size, scope and good bone for her massive frame.

"By the unbeaten superstar Frankel out of eight-time Group 1-winning mare More Joyous, she was bred by boutique breeder John Singleton at his Strawberry Hill Stud, just north of Sydney.

"Adrian and I think she will trial extremely well on Monday at Randwick and I believe Frankel is sure to make an impact in the southern hemisphere."

Waterhouse also trained More Joyous. She was a Group 2 winner at two before reeling off Group 1 wins at three, four and five over distances from 7f to 1m2f.

More Joyous's cv includes victories in the Doncaster Handicap, Queen Elizabeth Stakes and back-to-back runnings of the Queen of the Turf Stakes.

Waterhouse's association with the family goes deeper into the pedigree as she also trained Woman's second dam, Sunday Joy. The daughter of Sunday Silence was bought by Waterhouse as a yearling for A$1 million before winning the Australian Oaks.

Woman's third dam Joie Denise, by Danehill, also has an Oaks to her name thanks to her success in The Queensland Oaks Group 1. In that race she defeated future champion broodmare and the granddam of Highland Reel, Circles Of Gold, into second.

Joie Denise not only produced Sunday Joy but also Australian champion four-year-old filly Tuesday Joy. Tuesday Joy won four Group 1s, was placed in an Australian Derby and, if you hadn't guessed it already, was also trained by Waterhouse.

That formidable pedigree, so well understood by Waterhouse, combined with Woman's imposing physique should lead to a strong showing from the filly on Monday.

To add to this, Waterhouse has a reputation for liking her horses to be put under more pressure in their trials compared to other trainers.

First South African runner for Frankel on Saturday with MISS FRANKEL (out of South African Champion Sprinter Val de Ra) due to take her place in a 5f Maiden at Kenilworth.
 
Frankel's only US runner so far, Brooklyn Bobby, will have his second start at Gulfstream Park on Saturday.

Japanese filly Soul Stirring is set to reappear in 2 weeks time with a prep run for the Japanese 1,000 Guineas.
