Adayar misses the Prix Niel following a “minor setback”. He heads straight for the Arc. Hurricane Lane in good form ahead of St Leger and still has the Arc on his agenda. https://www.godolphin.com/news/hurr...eger-as-godolphin-poised-for-ambitious-autumn
I’d guess so, though I’m not sure it’s in their interests from a stallion-making perspective to have their 2 good colts take each other on. My own preference would be for Adayar to go to the Arc and then perhaps BC then off to stud. Hurricane Lane to be put away for the season after today and brought back for a middle distance campaign as a 4yo. He’s a gorgeous horse but I worry he’ll get pigeon-holed as a stayer - his pedigree is stamina through and through, his dam sire is a NH sire now, so he may struggle with flat breeders unless he can drop back in trip and focus on the big 10f-12f races.
I actually think Adayar looks the stouter stayer of the two - visually at least. But you're right, if Hurricane Lane wins the Leger and then gets retired it could make him an unfashionable sire. Both being Godolphin owned makes it unlikely they will both head to Paris.
