skysports...confirm west ham are letting frank nouble speak to crawley town in regards to signing a long term deal. just gets better and feels like your nose is being rubbed in it! hess nice to see your influence rubs off on players!
Oh come on Oxen, get a grip. I am pretty sure we made inqueries about Nouble during the window and I doubt we could match the financial clout of Crawley. You have made some good points but this obession with trying to beat Hessy with every stick you can get your grubby hands on is becoming tiresome
Just saw this as well, link below if anyone is interested. I completely understand Frank wanting to continue his career at a higher level and that we simply don't have the money to get him, however I just wish he wasn't going to that Joke of a mob Crawley, who would want to play in that Stadium week after week at a club which is clearly going to go bust in the next couple of years. It's unsustainable and i don't know why players, agents or fans can't see it. I guess there just chasing paper but the bubble will burst sooner rather then later.
You really do need a reality check Oxon. The money went on Whelpdale, Lee, Kedwell and Birchall at the beginning of the season and this investment was met with universal acclaim from the Gills supporters. You cannot spend money twice. There has never been any agenda to buy anyone in January and Nouble was never a target despite his powerful statements that he would love to come back. There is only one person who has tried to build undeliverable expectations.
How is it rubbing our noses in it? A Striker is hardly on the list of priorities at the moment, i think we are well off on that front. If there was any money then we either need someone to help Hessy or some decent fullbacks UTG
some of you need to look at the real picture as the season has been unraveled, that tells us...we are not going to turn this around! to many of you share that very same blindfold hessy is wearing and won't hear a bad word or don't want to see what fate has instore! i've been frustrated lately like most loving fans, but nothing has gone according to plan most of the season and yes i want hess to be that man to take gillingham fc places, but i'm thinking he's clueless and always undecided on taking the bull by the horns! he said i will get a team of players in who want to wear the shirt & will give 90+mins to the cause???...where is that side then! also said judge me when it's my team...it's your team hess and all our budget has been blown on these so called pro's who convinced hess they were our saviour...so forgive me for voicing my opinion on how i see it and what needs to change...as of now...yet still some still don't see it or are happy to see these performances week after week! so yes we do need an overhaul of players and staff...be it certain body's! and yes players and backroom staff are still needed for sure...end of!!!
we managed to keep kulfour and added tomlin as a replacement for nouble, so not a bad january, especially given the action in the summer. however the money from rooney should be spent on help for hess or bring and/or a leader in defence. the fact that hess thinks he can carry on without a number two is worrying. is he blind to his shortcomings? We have a decent squad but do we have someone capable of organising them into a unit. I don't think we do, and this isnt about the last 2 games but about the last 18 months.
regards your post belfastblue and needing a number two for the time hess has been here, your dead right...he never replaced ian hendon, but we also lost someone who looked a good bet in mark robson! southall in certainly clueless and andy has needed to bunce ideas and other matters off his right hand man, plus obviously training week by week! hess even said a long while back that he needed someone so that he could focus on other club matters...yet here we are still!
Think Frank has done the right thing here - yeah he isn't playing at West Ham and personally I think he'll either stick around there until the summer, or he'll be better off going out in the loan window next week. Besides, Crawley are approx. 800k better off now after the Tubbs deal, staggering for an L2 side if they have it all to spend. They could go for a couple of quality strikers to see their promotion push through.
