I haven't seen anything about some kind of farewell and thank you for Frank or Ashley Cole by the Club. Seems to me Frank particularly deserves a proper farewell, and so does Ash. Anything planned ??

The club magazine has run a lengthy goodbye tribute to both of them in the July and August issues. However neither of them mention any lasting memorial as there is with Ossie 's statue. This I'm sure doesn't mean there isn't going to one. After all it took some years to get Ossie's in place! I suspect they will wait until Frank finally hangs up his boots in America before giving him his recognition in whatever form that happens to be. I know for sure from things that have been said on CTV he will be offered a job in the club when his playing days are over.

Should Frank not get a testimonial match?
He was with us for 13 years!

Testimonials were something that used to happen when players were on cost of living wages and were given a testimonial to provide a golden handshake rather than end up on the dole. Now they are all multi-millionaires the practice has been done away with. Perhaps they could organise something with proceeds going to charity.

I was thinking more about something like a walk around the Bridge before a match so the fans can say thanks and good luck. Shouldn't be too hard to organise a couple of flights on a day they aren't playing ??

Anything - when he retires and not when he is a registered City player.
