Lamps has announced his retirement from football. Absolute legend by any standards. Good Luck Frank.

One of my favourite football chants ever.......

"Frankie Lampard scored 200 - against the Pikeys". :1980_boogie_down:

Words cannot express how jealous I am CP. I only met him once and I concur proper bloke. There are a few that deserve to be called legends, Frank Lampard is one of them, and I don't mean just the footballing fraternity.

I lived in Cathcart Road , just off Hollywood Road and he moved into Tregunter Road, just around the corner. He was with a really loverly South American lady, but sadly they split up. Robbie de Matteo owned an Italian restaurant in Hollywood Rd, opposite the Hollywood Arms, so lots of players were around in those days.
Sorry to bang on so long but to give you an idea of how grounded he was, and no doubt still is, on Sundays if he wasn't playing, he and his family, Dad and Mum, cousins etc, would often have lunch at the Enterprise in Walton Street.
All the waiters and waitresses say he never left without handing over some match tickets, signed photos , not of himself, but his team mates, as a thank you. A superstar who lived as a completely normal bloke.Much to admire.
