I don't think keegan or any players from the eighties would make it in the premier league, they weren't on the same diets, skinny and back then the first division was a lot slower than the premier league.

Hasselbainks perfect hat-trick that was against Tottenham on 13th March 2002. All his goals right foot + left foot + header all those were world class goals.

Whoop whoop! :1980_boogie_down: Credibility restored. Probably.

Yeah but they had to put up with Norman Hunter, Terry Butcher, Johnny Giles, Graeme Souness, Billy Bremner et al kicking the **** out of them every week with virtually no protection from the ref. They'd take one look at the studs down, no tackling from behind, always in control rules of today and just laugh. Also if they were playing in the PL now they'd be on the same diets and training regimes so would reach the same fitness levels in a few months.

Credibility restored to 50% <applause> you get that for the Charlton part but alas the other 50% is lost due to the fact that Keegan played and was successful as a striker even though the Jerry's played him as an advanced midfielder (another word for a striker really). If you polled most fans they would say Keegan was famous for being a striker/forward. Enjoy the winter:emoticon-0157-sun:

Ah, your bitterness is worthy of a Arsenal fan. If you polled most German fans they would say Keegan was famous for being a midfielder. And if you polled most football journalists they would say that Keegan was famous for winning the Ballon D'Or as a midfielder.

And an attacking midfielder is not "another word for a striker". Cos Bobby Charlton was an attacking midfielder and you have just agreed that he wasn't a striker. A good way to defeat your own argument, and in doing so drive your credibility to around -50%. You've obviously been playing Football Manager too much.

    I'm off sledging. :emoticon-0140-rofl:
