Yeah the yanks would probably pay either of them a few houndred grand a week, and there's nowhere near the same amount of tax out there
Playing in sunny California for mega bucks or playing in a relegation dog fight in front of 3 men and a dog at QPR? Tough.
Think Frank has plenty of integrity. If he leaves because he still wants to play, then I think the time is right. He's done his job at Chelsea with distinction.Sure he doesn't want to just fade away as a peripheral player and nor should he. He has plenty to offer the right team, one that plays just below PL standard, and needs experience and a "teacher". The USA would be right, and , dare I say it, the A League here in Oz. Man City now own Melbourne Hearts and will use it to play some of their kids, play some of their experienced players and hopefully discover emerging talent. That sort of role could suit Frank. Can't see him going to QPR, but stranger things have happened.
Could be wrong but just don't see Frank going to another P.L team. He loves the club and surely wouldn't want to come up against us - least of all for a club like QPR. If it was a Man United or Liverpool then maybe....
Wrong again, and don't argue, I lived there for 5 years. The tax is slightly lower on earnings, but you have a state tax also and no NHS, so if you factor in health insurance then the level is marginal and not as you say, not. "Nowhere Near".
I'd like to see him retained for another year, obviously on a lower salary, and then be put on the coaching staff!
But is it the same in terms of going up the more you earn? I mean Frank will pay 50% of his wages toward this country with his current salary.
That's if your just an average earner like me or you, but if your a mega money earner like Lampard then the health insurance would be peanuts to him. I don't know for certain, but I'd imagine the fee you pay for health insurance is worked out depending on how healthy you are, not by how much you earn. I can't imagine they'd put your health insurance up just cause you earn 300k a week
I'm not preaching about religion, so you cant call me sanctimonious. Maybe you should read your dictionary before you start using long words to try to make yourself sound clever
Bang on. I had a green card for 12 years before I retired and you have to declare your world wide income to the IRS. So Frank would also be paying US Taxes, or "top up" taxes on all his non US earnings and assets !! The only way the "rich" beat the US system is to have a long and historical set up of Corporations and Offshore Trusts, not something you can do in a hurry. And if you think the UK tax boys are tough, they are like whipped cream compared to the IRS.
Play for Seattle and live in Anchorage and take advantage of the yearly oil bonus payout, of course this mean getting citizenship.
