True. The bottom line is that in knockout football anything can happen. I hate the thought of us going out on penalties though.
Did you know that the England team will not be voting in this referendum? Because they can't find the box, let alone put a cross into it.........................
They thought they'd be home by now. Please watch this. You'll love it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36603525
But we haven't come up against any decent opposition yet so how can you qualify that ? We played Belgium twice in qualification and they couldn't score a goal against us. What makes you think they'd do any better against us considering the confidence we have flowing through the team at the moment ? The weakest group was Hungary, Portugal and Iceland.... Seems you haven't really thought about much of your above statement to be honest. I can only assume it's a wind-up.....
Not a wind up. I'm saying we will be out when we play a strong team. Okay then, we aren't decent opposition. We were still clearly the better team, and beat you. That's not exactly any better, is it? I think Russia have looked to be the weakest team in the tournament, and I really think that our group was the weakest. I might be wrong, but it's just how I see it.
Anyone can beat each other in this game.....some teams have so called better players but that don't mean a thing as we have seen numerous times before. The best thing to have is luck in this game, Look at Russia and Slovakia who England could not beat because the two teams had a huge slice of luck but when they played us their luck run out....England had a slice of luck beating Wales in a controversial extra time goal. Give me the slice of luck you need in any game and you can beat anyone....
Excited about today for sure. I can handle it if we get knocked out by a better team - even England. But let's be honest it would be bloody awful losing to NI. We have to win this.
I am worried abut this game more than any other we played. I wonder whether we can handle the tag of favourite.
Having scraped a draw 1-1 against them in the warm-up, I was a little apprehensive about the idea of playing NI. However, on reflection we were without Bale, Ramsey and Allen that day - the heartbeat of our attacking/midfield force. No wonder NI looked relatively strong - when you know that the opposition are unlikely to hurt you, it allows you to play with a bit more freedom. Even without our trinity of top players, we still had 65% possession that day but without enough chances created. It was a lucky (although correctly awarded) penalty that day to scrape a draw. With Bale, Allen and Ramsey playing, I can see NI playing with more fear than freedom and it will be an even more defensive performance to not let their creativity get in behind them. With 5 at the back, we should, in theory, be able to deal with their counter-attacks too. The more I think about it, as long as we play sensible at the back and keep feeding our top players the ball, we should come out on top. Not saying we'll walk it, but I'm confident about today. Wales 2-0 Northern Ireland.
Look at the fella, desperately trying not to look at her arse. If that was me I would be banged to rites!!!
I'm getting twitch for our game. We're having terrible storms down my way, thunder, lightening and pissing down with rain. This is interrupting my satellite signal!! better not **** up the game for me!! I missed the Eire goal the other night because of storms!!
