Yes, but it's what happens outside that spills over inside, that clearly was the case here, I'm not blaming the English fans for what happened inside the ground, but you cannot detach one from the other, I think UEFA should look at what happens outside stadiums, why should it be ignored.......
They have said this morning that they can take no action against any federation for what happens out side the ground. So it is only Russia facing sanctions and even though they are on a 6 point deduction suspended, they will probably be fined about a tenner. They should be told to leave the tournament way before Thursday to avoid further problems.
I was a little out but if they had this for almost identical behaviour, surely they have to be dealt with more harshly this time. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...r-2016-European-Championships-qualifiers.html
The winning of the first game by Wales and only a point by both England and Russia is a " Perfect Storm " of confidence , and lack of for some , as the the group prepares for round 2 . Can see Wales feeding off this and playing some very good football going forward .
Agree roofer, would love us to go through top of the group, even better for England to get knocked out. In France the French media have commended the Welsh fans for their good behaviour, and friendly atmosphere, and have contrasted this with the English fans behaviour, The French have even joined in singing along with the Welsh inside and outside the ground...........
No I think it ended after their qualification, but for all that Uefa have to act more sternly this time, it is like having previous convictions and that has to be taking into account when deciding their fate. Strange how they behaved in qualification while this was hanging over them, bearing in mind it happened against the Czech republic, well they are playing the other half of what was Czechoslovakia, could this kick off again if they are allowed to stay. They need to be removed before this tournament becomes known for the wrong reasons.
This was the last post on that thread before I deleted it if anyone wants to continue discussing the trouble. It was from Never - "Well let's put football on a good light on Thursday, with Welsh and English showing how the game and fans should be conducted. My only concern is that Russian fans are in Lille on the Wednesday which is just 24m away. What's the odds on them going to Lens to cause trouble, I hope not, but I can see it happening".
This is terrible from UEFA. Any other country and UEFA would have been sympathetic towards us. Instead we are being threatened with being thrown out of the tournament as our supporters are hospitalised with serious injuries. I would tell UEFA to go and **** themselves and pull us out of the tournament.
I didn't have a chance to reply Valley, on Dai's thread? no matter my last post would have been this: I have looked at all the Links that you and Kiff have put up, and while what happened inside the stadium was clearly started by Russian fans, who will be dealt with by UEFA, what has gone on in the streets outside is a different story, and you cannot say it was the Russian or local French to blame, leaving the English yobs innocent, so I'm still not seen any evidence here that England supporters are victims in all this, here are a few pics of your innocent English fans: please log in to view this image A group of topless English supporters gesture at the Russian fans as riot police had to separate the two sets of rival fans? please log in to view this image The English fan - soaked in blood - is put in a police van as police tried to quell the violence that has overshadowed the match, he was arrested because he was innocent? please log in to view this image The England fans hurled bottles at the opposition supporters (Russian) as the atmosphere turned violent ahead of the match this evening, do you think this had anything to do with what happened inside the stadium? Let's be fair here, England fans had kicked off the day before any Russians had arrived, yes the Russians are the biggest hooligans ever, but don't try and paint England's vastly minority Neanderthals as innocent, I could be here until christmas providing this type of footage, but I cannot agree with you regarding England fans were innocent victims in all this, that has got to be farcical in the extreme.............. PS: I don't wish to bring the subject of the violence onto this thread, but I think it's fair to say I'll agree to disagree on what has happened in France with the England fans. Great to see how the Irish fans got on great with the Polish fans, and helping when the Polish got injured from the French idiots...........
UEFA has warned England and Russia that their teams could be disqualified from the European Championship if there is further violence by their supporters. The warning followed three days of clashes between rival fans in Marseille, and further trouble at the city's stadium after England and Russia drew 1-1 on Saturday night. UEFA says its executive committee has "warned both football associations that — irrespective of any decisions taken by the independent disciplinary bodies relating to incidents inside the stadium — it will not hesitate to impose additional sanctions on the Football Association and the Russian Football Union, including the potential disqualification of their respective teams from the tournament, should such violence occur again." UEFA has only opened a disciplinary case against Russia as the violence caused by England fans on Saturday night was away from the stadium. UEFA is urging the English and Russian football authorities "to appeal to their supporters to behave in a responsible and respectful manner." I agree with UEFA in making this statement, both sets of fans are culpable in the disgraceful scenes out in France...........
Rest assured , MOST of the Russians that were involved with the chaos in the stadium and outside the stadium were and are involved at the Cremian and Ukrainian borders . No Russian should be able to travel to a World sporting event till Putin and his " Clan " show they can deal in a peaceful enviroment . Sanctions on the country and citizens should be step one regarding sports events .
It's a disgrace. I'm just really hoping there's no Swansea fans out there sweeping the streets looking for disabled people to abuse. It's what they have form for, disgusting low lifes.
Your are simply pathetic, no other word for you, trying to justify your England fans disgraceful behaviour with an isolated issue in Swansea, truly clutching at straws, why is it the English are never liked where ever they go?
English men and Russian men fight and ruin the tournament. Welsh men abuse disabled English boy. http://www.southwales-eveningpost.c...used-punched/story-25909177-detail/story.html
Compared to what , your nazi ex avatar. You'd make a great painter , one stoke and an entire house would be done
If we find the muppets we will give them a lifetime ban, all you are doing is defending the indefensible English mob, grow some balls and clear the rot and stop being a disgrace on the UK............
Just giving the ****er dishing the dirt a taste of his own medicine. I didn't mean it, I wouldn't dream of tarring all Welsh men as abusers of disabled boys. Not sure what you meant, btw.
All the dirt has been dished by your English fans in France, in front of the whole world, and now you face a potential disqualification, and all you can go on about is some isolated idiot in Swansea, grow up will you..............
