To all those who claim FC would not be welcome back - who are you kidding? IF he came back (and I doubt it tbh) as soon as he scored he would be welcome back
When he signed for us in the promotion season, he needed us as much as we needed him. Good move for everyone, young kid wanting to make a name dropping down to get some experience. Ambitious club get a fresh talent to push on for promotion. If you look at it now we are probably in the same position we were then. Campbell will see himself as an established Premier League striker. What could he gain from dropping down and coming to us what he wouldn't get from a loan or transfer to another Prem team?? Not gonna happen.
He might get a premiership transfer or loan and would jump at the chance to stay in the top division but if he doesn't get an offer then I can see it happening.
If we could get a proven player would get shot of him, no room for sentiment if we are going to progress as a club, and I still want him to succeed
Hull had looked like the frontrunners for the striker's signature, having agreed a fee with Manchester United weeks ago. Campbell stalled on a decision to join the Tigers though and eventually opted for the Black Cats because of the size of the club, according to his father and representative, Keith Campbell. "There was interest from Hull, but Sunderland is a massive club and it was just too good an opportunity to turn down," Campbell Snr. said he can **** right off.
9 games isn't it now including 5 against village teams pre-season? I want him to do well for us but if we got shot of him and signed Frazier than thats great in my book. A quicksilver striker v a big striker with Folan like soft tendencies, theres no contest.
Haha will get a name change and makeover soon anyway on here. No point holding a grudge v Frazier after I think most of us on here slagged off Bruce until he became our manager, or a lot did anyway, footballs about moving on.
as i said before.remember is goal celebration against us? no would i ****.hes a **** of the highest order
I remember an interview with Deano when he played for bradford. He said (and i am paraphrasing) 'if he scored, he would have celebrated in front of the east stand'. He also said ' its nice to come back to Hull to see the kids he didn't know he had'. Anyway, my point being, isn't what he does more important than what he did? if he comes back and scores goals for fun, does it matter what he said/did?
Fraziers OK, theres a lot of vile scum footballers who I'd rather we didn't sign (Barton, Bowyer, Bullard, King, the lists endless) so he celebrated against us, probably not that bright is the lad but its not a crime
