The fact that their favoured front runners are Bielsa and Dyche, two coaches with completely opposite footballing philosophies is the reason why they are in the mess their in.
Not 100% convinced on the Bielsa link. Alex Crook who covers transfer news on talkSPORT said earlier that Everton had held preliminary talks with MB who wanted assurances around money he can spend to strengthen the squad and as we all know that’s the last consideration he has for taking a job. Like someone else posted he doesn’t strike me as a manager that takes a job mid season.
Aside from Bielsa, it's a fairly decrepit looking list. Id imagine the Everton hierarch will have to pull a rabbit out of the hat to try and appease fans
Everton have met with Bielsa about taking over ... Bielsa is seriously considering the role, he will have a number of conditions that will have to be met first though ... if Bielsa doesn't get total control over everything football, he won't go to Everton ... then there's the Everton DoF who is genuinely bad, Bielsa won't want to work with him Bielsa has already asked to take Everton away for warm weather training immediately, if he took the job tomorrow he'd have 10 days to prepare before the Arsenal game to get them going ... it's not Bielsa's way to take a job mid-season, but a big club in the Prem may be just what he wants to rub Radz and 49ers noses in it Personally I hope Bielsa doesn't go there, because he will push them up the table quickly ... they have good players, just had the wrong manager
Those current Everton players won’t fancy a diet of cardboard and running to training everyday either
Sounds like he’s not going but I think it would have been a poor call all round. They need someone who can do a quick fix. Bielsa is a roll out a programme guy. It worked brilliantly with a pre-season for us, but you aren’t getting guys to man mark all over the pitch, from your first game in the middle of a season. In May they’d be better off with bielsa… provided they’re ready to cede control of everything playing wise to him. Right Now, they’re better off with dyche.
Rats and sinking ship at Everton, Danjuma signing for Spurs not Everton, Anthony Gordon looks like going to Newcastle and sounds like more want out and Bielsa seems to have refused to go to Everton even though he spoke to Moshiri
I read that Everton engaged with Bielsa, but he told them that it was a no-go as the squad wasn't quick enough. Not sure of the veracity here, but wouldn't be surprised if it was true.
Aren't they interested in the lad we wanted Dieng who failed his medical at a French club, or is that old news.
Uefa have changed the ffp rule because of Chelsea’s fiddling. Max length of contract allowable is to be five years
God, I really hope Everton go for Rooney. Only one worse choice than him and that's Steven Gerrard. The logical choice was Dyche, but Everton aren't known for that.
