Far too soon for the top four to be decided imo. Heck, in 2012 we were eight points clear with six games to go and ended up losing out, so six points with 15 games to go is **** all.
Personally I'd rather have fifth than sixth. Don't really hold with all the chat about not being in Europe being a big advantage. It didn't help Liverpool in 11/12, nor did it hinder us in any of the last 20 odd seasons. The EL may not be the CL, but it's still a competition, and I'd rather be in it than not be. Same way I wouldn't want us to sack the League Cup off at the third round stage just to try and get a little boost in the league - that's a small club mentality imo.

I know the chances of it happening are pretty low, but **** sides have won the CL before. Liverpool 05, and Chelsea 12 proves it can be done. I would just love it if Liverpool finished 4th and we nicked there CL place by winning it

You are only a few points behind Liverpool, with RVP and Rooney fit you can still catch the dippers.

Liverpool winning points so far this season at 2.0 ppg, Man Utd at 1.67. Liverpool need the form of a "73-point season" to reach 75 points (1.9ppg); Man Utd need equiv of "95-pt season" (2.5ppg)

Ye is going to take a big turn around in results for us to catch Liverpool. I think we need to win our next 3, which would put us back in with a chance. Home to Fulham we should win, but then we go to the Emirates and a home game against Liverpool. So not gonna be easy to pull it off

My mate is a Utd fan and oddly i have had a £10 bet since august that this will happen (would not surprise me if city take out all the top top team and you guys do them in the final), normally i crap at this sort of thing, also tipped Swans to go down this season in same 'discussion' as i thought they would struggle with Europa and league.
I think you guys should be looking at qualifying for EL, u are not in same position as Liverpool yet, we are further behind in terms of team development and need to catch up in terms of playing CL and Prem games. forget giving players experience it will give Moyes some experience (obv if you dont win CL). Oddly i also agree with Moyes, this season, i do think you have been really unlucky, yes you got probs but we all have.

I think if anything that may well be Utds problem this season, i have no idea where we will finish and all the years i been supporting us we have a tendency to self implode when we think we have turned a corner.
Utd are not relying on catching us they need 3 teams to drop points.
There is an outside chance we could be one point behind third come tues morning with chelsea still to come to us
If utd can catch lfc then surely 3rd not too far a stretch?
