Mercedes 1-2 in Melbourne with Bottas taking the first, and the bizarre new bonus point for fastest lap (will make no difference to the racing, the drivers were already on cash bonuses for this). Ferrari well back, despite all the talk of them being half a second a lap faster than the Mercedes. Versteppen third without upsetting anyone.

Expecting more of the same for the rest of the season.
 
Expect another Hamilton/Vettel dominant Championship, Verstappen will get some crumbs along with the No.2's in those three teams as happened today. As usual F1 is selling a pup...

Just caught the highlights having avoided finding out the result all day.

Not sure if agree re the fastest lap point SB - did you hear (and see) how they were all going for it at the end? Bottas even considering pitting for some fresh tyres to guarantee it. I liked it.

Surprised by how slow the Ferraris were. Taken in by the Merc PR for the umpteenth time.

Glad Honda are working out for Red Bull.

Let's hope Bottas keeps is up and makes it an interesting season instead of a coronation, even though I still want Hamilton to pick up a sixth WDC!

Perhaps not...bit of a shame.

But nice to have Hamilton on 83 wins. Just 8 off Schumacher's record of 91 now. Still won't be easy to get to, or beat, that number but he's got a really good shot before the regs change the season after next.
