Not sure as the Mercedes is alot quicker down the straights so would of been hard to pass even with drs, have Mercedes bought a upgraded engine to this event as they seem alot faster down the straights.
I would have happily given the ticket had I known! They were really good seats too, right in line with the finish line, great view of the podium. And all ok, I've done a lateral flow yesterday and today and both negative so I think I'm ok. My mate is getting negative tests too but now he is home where his Mum is who does have it, he'll probably get it. On the Max/Lewis, for me it's a racing incident. Max squeezed Lewis thinking he'd back out as he had backed out of fights too easy previously, Lewis could have been a tad more right but was along side and had a right to be there. He probably got fed up Max doing the get out of my way of crash so called his bluff!
I think Lewis is in the wrong there. If you can't fully complete the move you have to back out. Leaving the nose in at the apex is always asking for a crash and doing it at such a fast corner is doubly silly.
Max still had a country mile of room to use there, and could have used it. But it's all opinions. Regardless of fault, I think Max was foolish for defending this one so hard when I believe he'd ultimately get the win anyway.
I think Lewis gave Max space, he didn't push him off the track but Max being Max took the racing line even though Lewis was there. Max has always been very aggressive and I thought he had matured enough to realise the race isn't won on a single corner. With all the previous penalties for not leaving space on the outside etc I do think this should not receive a penalty but it's a close call. Would love to see both drivers steering angles.
With everything Red Bull has done for F1 and rookies they should be adored. But then Horner and Marko....
I don't get Horner saying you don't overtake at copse. I've seen plenty of passes there over the years.
Horner is a political shark - I don’t like him but the way he fights the cause for Red Bull is super intense. Im amazed the grid agreed to an engine freeze - if he is agreeing to an engine freeze he had to be confident RBR we’re gonna have a beast under the bonnet- he wouldn’t have locked in a disadvantage.
Anyone think the two Macca boys are thinking of double podium here? (IF Hamilton is penalised)? Tough ask as Le Clerc is a beast but they have both looked pretty nifty this weekend
