Reading through these comments is weird as I'm not watching whatever you lot are, which also means I can't tell if silvers comments are in jest or not. what about tyres, what year are you talking about, whats going on?!?!
Bridestone era, 09-10 mainly. Watching reruns of past Monaco GP's and hearing stuff involving tyres. It's just tongue and cheek with all the dislike towards Pirelli when Bridestone's primes only saved the day from their obvious degradation of their soft compounds. Took Seb 9 laps to burn through a set of softs in the 09 year.
Funny, a Mercedes known for chewing it's tyres rapidly, was able to last longer on his soft compound with a heavy fuel load compared with Seb that didn't last 9 laps on Bridgestones with a lighter car. Yeah, I think I've made my point with this tyre argument. Nothing to see!
Anyone know where he is with his recovery, F1 would be better with his return, maybe at Merc should Schumi and Merc go their separate ways at the end of 2012.. Or off to Ferrari should Massa continue to drive Mrs Daisy!
A wet Monaco? Here's hoping it is, so I'm doing my rain dance http://www.weather-forecast.com/locations/Monaco/forecasts/latest
I don't mind a wet race but not a fan of them at Monaco, don't know why, just don't like them (wet races) there!
I know why... Its because it does this please log in to view this image To this please log in to view this image
I would give anything for the grid to be mixed up again, I don't want to watch a Monaco procession. Edit: Mind you it wasn't hard for non-top 10 starters to make it into the points without rain last year. Sutil/Heidfeld/Buemi...and Kobaykazi.
What with the cars being so close this year and the tyres continuing to be a factor, I don't think we need the rain for a mixed up grid?
The problem with a wet race, 24 cars and drivers 6 or 7 seconds of the pace is that we are likely to get a red flag! Its bad enough with saftey cars sometimes affecting the result!
Unfortunately it's not looking good... http://www.f1zone.net/news/kubica-return-nearly-impossible/14044/
