Looking good for the Mods Choice in the poll. Even if Raikkonen doesn't win no one has voted for Alonso, Grosjean or Perez anyway, and Maldonado wasn't even included. What a season!
I think they give them benefit of the doubt in the race. No team would fuel their car to get just over the finish line, although ideally that's what they'd want. Something as simple as the wind changing or the temperature increasing can affect fuel efficiency. There's no excuse for miscalculating a quali run though.
Remember about what one of the mods (you?) said that if Alonso wins everyone bar NNW gets a point. :3
It's real but they're protesting against government austerity not Lewis's penalty They plan to stay there for three days but the government have other ideas; it'll probably look very messy soon...
Beneath the surface and its obvious humour, this is actually a very astute comment. Oddly enough, I came back to respond to the weight of conspiracy theories concerning McLaren and, in particular; Hamilton. It is all too easy to forget that McLaren effectively operate two teams, one on either side of the garage. Of course, their two drivers share a lot of common personnel, including the same crew to conduct the pit-stops themselves, but they have different race engineers, who work out different strategies and plans in a very real attempt to beat the other side of their own garage. Any F1 garage is a very competitive environment, but none more so than McLaren. They genuinely allow and actively encourage real competition between their drivers and their respective engineering teams. The result is that each side of the garage is trying to out-do the other. But this is not a corporate plan to sabotage one car or its driver. There is only one plausible conspiracy theory: that McLaren are actually paid by Ferrari, with bonuses from Red Bullâ¦
The stewards must of concluded that McLaren were bullshitting about their excuses and they did it on purpose to help get Lewis in front. Past experiences with drivers "not knowing" usually just resulted in the team getting a small fine, yet they would keep all the glory and riches from doing so and the driver would still keep the place, a win win situation. Not anymore I think...
More Pasta: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/18045782 Anderson makes a good point about Sauber and Williams being very professional at Mugello. Those two and Ferrari took a lot of upgrades and have made a large step forward, the teams claiming it was a waste of time have missed a trick big time.
how frustrating? Why? why underfuel when he was loads faster on paper than anyone else? his main title rivals have all fouled up so why was pole so desperate? I have to laugh at some facebook comments I read today about the stewards penalising because he is black!!!
That just takes it too far. I'm angry but to claim they are racists is just pathetic. People should know better.
Ok so.... What happens when cars dont make it to the pits at the end of the race? I think the stewards should cover all bases here from now on.
Have you been to Spain? It's hardly a model of racial harmony. However, the decision was obviously not racially motivated.
His "fans" claiming racism will just make the situation 10x worse because it will cause huge arguments from the other side claiming they're the one's being prejudice. Lets be honest, we dont live in the 1980's let alone the 60's. Almost 30-50 years of social intergration and yet people still think certain majorities have it out for somebody's skin colour.
